Sertão (Brazilian outback) was composed in the Brazilian central plateau in the state of Goiás, in 2012 and released in 2023 on the album Na Densidade do Ar, by guitarist Leo Costa. It brings the arid and at the same time majestic atmosphere of the Brazilian hinterland. With a strong melody that brings a lament at the same time it carries influences of the traditional music of the Brazilian hinterland, remembering the viola caipira and the fiddle. It has the constancy of the pedal bass in C that has both the Arab influence of the lute and the stippling of the Brazilian northeast and midwest.

By Leo Costa. By Marina Oliveira de Santana / Leonardo Costa Dela Coleta. Arranged by Leo Costa. Classical,Contemporary,Jazz,Latin,Multicultural,World. Individual part. 4 pages. Leo Costa #853791. Published by Leo Costa (A0.1260598).

Lua Nascente is a work for solo guitar which brings deep references to Brazilian regional rhythms such as ijexá, maracatu and baião.
The original and virtuoso arrangement, written by the artist himself, brings references from popular music closer to the erudite universe without losing the connection with the lyrical narrative that makes it sound like a song. Influenced by great names in Brazilian guitar such as João Pernambuco, Garoto and Paulo Bellinati, Leo Costa proposes his own look at the instrument. It brings complex sonority due to the diversity of elements worked on the same instrument. Starting with low dynamics, full of natural harmonics, the music gradually grows and shows the clearest and strongest notes, reaching the fortissimo at its peak, to fall again afterwards, bringing precisely the figurative sense of a nocturnal trip/journey, with ups and downs, in the light of an imaginary moon that illuminates the Brazilian hinterland and our interior.
The music follows unusual paths but at the same time brings constancy in the repetitive marking of the bass, proposing to be a reduced form of the rhythmic orchestra of an ijexá.

Turno Noturno is a composition born during the pandemic that portrays the solitude and power of artistic expression as a way to connect with the world. In an atmosphere of nocturnal jazz, the work brings both elements of harmonic shocks and the lightness and warmth of chords that calm down in an almost hypnotic cycle. The arrangement features extended guitar techniques such as super-high harmonics and the almost continuous use of open strings, giving the feeling of openness and suspension of the sound.

By Frank Sinatra. By Fred Ebb and John Kander. Arranged by Leo Silva. Broadway,Film/TV,Jazz,Multicultural,Musical/Show,Traditional,World. Individual part. 2 pages. MP Sheet Music #156474. Published by MP Sheet Music (A0.546454).

Theme from New York, New York (or New York, New York) is the theme song for the Martin Scorsese film New York, New York (1977), composed by John Kander, with lyrics by Fred Ebb. It remains one of the best-known songs about New York City. In 2004, it finished 31st in the AFI's 100 Years...100 Songs poll of top American film songs. In 1979, Theme from New York, New York was recorded by Frank Sinatra for his album Trilogy: Past Present Future (1980), and has become closely associated with it as one of his signature songs. Don Costa received a Grammy nomination for energetic orchestration. Sinatra occasionally performed the song live with Minnelli as a duet. Sinatra recorded for the second time for his 1993 album Duets, with Tony Bennett. Sinatra's recording peaked at #32 in June 1980, becoming his final Top 40 hit. It was also an Adult Contemporary hit, reaching #10 in the US[2] and #2 in Canada. [3] The song made a small showing in the UK (#59); however, it reappeared several years later and reached No. 4 in 1986. The song was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Performance, Male and Sinatra made two more studio recordings of the song in 1981 (for their NBC TV special The Man and His Music) and 1993 (for Capitol Records). From the latter, an electronic duet with Tony Bennett was produced for Sinatra's Duets album.
