This arrangement changes the meter to 4/4 so that the piece can begin as a quiet prayer and end as a triumphant march, to match the content of Huish's text. Scored for SATB choir, a soloist can be used for the opening and closing phrases. The piano accompaniment becomes very full for the last verse, so a minimum of eight voices are suggested with larger choirs being more effective. The piece begins in A-flat and ends in A-major. The choral parts are not overly difficult; the piano accompaniment is more demanding. Tempo should be martial for the final verse, 116-120.
