In the view of critic Ted Gioia, the definitive version of this song was sung by Billie Holiday in 1941. We're all familiar with Willie Nelson's version which was included in his Stardust album and reached No. 3 on the Hot Country Songs chart in 1978 - we have patterned this version after the Willie Nelson cover. This arrangement features a root-based chord-blocking which we kind of morphed into a simple stride that's not too hard to play (like all of our arrangements). It sounds great as written, but make it yours if you so choose! John and I hope you like this one!
