Published by Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele (A0.1431860). DOTZAUER PROJECT - EP. 10 - Welcome, dear sister-in-law! J. J. F. Dotzauer - Six Songs for Voice and Guitar, Op. 18 Dotzauer dedicated three works to the guitar, an instrument particularly in vogue at the beginning of the XIX century. The first one was this collection of Six Songs (Sechs Lieder) for the Voice with Guitar accompaniment, which he dedicated to his eldest brother’s wife. The guitar part is not particularly challenging, making it ideal even for non-professional playing. The texts come from several prominent poets of the time, namely Friedrich von Schiller, Karl Friedrich Müchler, Johann Stephen Schütze, and Christian Schreiber. This edition is the first modern publication of these pieces, and exceptionally offers a separate guitar part. The outstanding contribution of Dr. Bernd Krause of the Büro für Geschichtswissenschaften made this edition possible. Rich editorial notes and a comprehensive section analysing the texts complete this unique publication.MAILING LIST (free excerpt + discounts) Full catalogue#voice #guitar #duet #classicalmusic #romanticmusic #sheetmusic #song #lieder #songs #musicnotation #engraving #dorico #dotzauer #poet #poem #schiller.

Cellos - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.841373 Composed by Johann Justus Friedrich Dotzauer. Arranged by Artistic Score Engraving by Michele Galvagno. Instructional,Romantic Period. Educational Exercises. 72 pages. Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele #6719777. Published by Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele (A0.841373). The Twelve Different Pieces for Two Cellos, dedicated to beginners, op. 58, by Johann Justus Friedrich Dotzauer, are a beautiful collection of short duets, perfectly suited to be used both in the classroom and in the concert hall. While the first cello is clearly written to play the role of the protagonist, the second cello is not relegated to a mere accompaniment seat. As usual with Dotzauer, something that may have contributed to these gems remaining unearthed until now, these pieces do not follow a growing order of difficulty. They are more or less equivalent in requiring up to the fourth position and not too many double stops, with some interesting bowing patterns here and there. Many forms are covered (there is even a fugue!), and none of them is in a slow tempo.  This edition is made up of a 72-page book, in both PDF and EPUB form, enriched with interactive elements that make navigation a breeze. Additional PDF files for the score and the two cello parts are also included. It is an Urtext edition, in that it fully respects the composer's original text. Any correction to clear mistakes and/or editorial addition will be enclosed in square brackets. I hope you will enjoy every note of it!

Cellos - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1042144 Composed by Johann Justus Friedrich Dotzauer. Arranged by Carl Hüllweck. Children,Classical,Instructional,Romantic Period. Educational Exercises. 112 pages. Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele #646942. Published by Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele (A0.1042144). The Twenty-four Exercises for Two Cellos, Op. 159, by Johann Justus Friedrich Dotzauer, continue and conclude the series dedicated to the neck positions. These, alongside the just published Twelve Original Pieces, Op. 58, cover the first four positions in all possible variations, using an incredible richness of forms, melody, harmony, and rhythm. After these thirty-six little gems, your students will be able to face much greater challenges with renewed strength and assertiveness. While Op. 58 focused mostly on Theme with Variations, Op. 159’s most used form is the rounded binary one, while no less than three full-fledged fugues enrich the practicing landscape. Due to the lack of the original manuscript, lost during Steiner & Bell’s acquisition of Augener & Co., this edition is based on two surviving editions, by Carl Hüllweck and Johannes Klingenberg, both published in the first decade of the XX century, about 40 years after Dotzauer’s passing. To provide you with the greatest flexibility and choice possibilities, this edition comes in several versions (only C available here, others available on Gumroad): - A: a score only one, based on Hüllweck; - B: two separate sets of parts, one per editor; - C: a score & parts bundle, based once more on Hüllweck; - D: finally, a Collector’s Edition, containing all this, plus a long chapter comparing all differences between Hüllweck’s and Klingenberg’s versions, and an interactive PDF where, at the press of a button, you will be able to switch to the other version of the current part! All PDFs have been optimised to be of the highest Press Quality and lightweight. I truly hope you are going to enjoy this beautiful music and that your cello playing will reach new heights thanks to it!

String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1197314 Composed by Justus Johann Friedrich Dotzauer. Arranged by Michele Galvagno. 19th Century,Chamber,Classical,Instructional,Romantic Period. 164 pages. Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele #796478. Published by Artistic Score Engraving di Galvagno Michele (A0.1197314). Dotzauer’s first attempt at a major form of chamber music comes in 1810, with his Op. 12. This is a couple of quartets for two violins, viola, and violoncello obbligato. One may think these are ordinary string quartets, where the first violin has all the fun and the other three players share the remaining bits, but one would be gravely mistaken. The clue for this is the dedication by Dotzauer to his teacher, Bernhard Romberg. Then we have the word “obbligato” marking the prominence of the cello part over the others. They are entertaining pieces, about 25-minutes-long each, in four movements, and similar to Haydn in style. These are the first two of Dotzauer’s generous production of string quartets (more than twenty!). The first is in E-flat major, while the second is in G minor, a curious choice for sure. This edition comes in digital and print, both including the same material, a score and a set of four parts.
