Choral Choir (SATB) - Digital Download SKU: A0.798308 By Hugo Winterhalter/E. Heywood. By Eddie Heywood. Arranged by Paul Hemmer. Contemporary. Octavo. 7 pages. PJMS MUSIC #5735817. Published by PJMS MUSIC (A0.798308). Canadian Sunset is a popular song by jazz pianist Eddie Heywood and lyrics by Norman Gimbel. An instrumental version by Heywood and Hugo Winterhalter reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and No. 7 on the R&B chart in 1956. A version sung by Andy Williams was also popular that year, reaching No. 7 on the Billboard chart. It's also been recorded by dozens of jazz and pop artists and remains a favorite of the 1950s. This arrangement highlights the flowing melody with rich harmonies and many of the familiar piano figures associated with the original Eddie Heywood recording.
