Scored for oboe, French horn, harp and strings, the harp part can also be played on piano if a harp is not available. Even though the musical example is a MIDI it was blessed by our Dear Lord in that this recording is, in the opinion of the composer, better than most MIDI renditions. In this world of uncertainty and turmoil this is meant to comfort the listener on its own, or be background to appropriate scripture reading and in general musically bless whomever hears this to get closer to the Lord and Savior and know that prayers are always answered, not necessarily in our time but in His time. I personally have been blessed and through this composition am trying to share my feelings of comfort and gratitude. This composition is not limited to Church orchestras per se, but to any group of musicians who love the Lord and want to share with all listeners the spirit of comfort and gratitude. The PDF downloaded has the score and all parts. The picture on the title page is of the beautiful mountains of North Carolina.

The picture on the title page is a scene of mountain ranges from the Blue Ridge Parkway. You can almost imagine an alphorn player around the echoes of your mind.

A lot of horn players play the Alphorn too, and it is popular in mountainous territory all over the world. It uses a repetitive eight note broken chord pattern, spread between the hands, based on the primary chord of the key. This develops into arpeggios in the left hand as the right plays the melody in two part harmony. Tempos and dynamic markings are also left to the teachers and pupils.
