This trio for Bb clarinet, violin and piano won a 2001 Marmor Foundation Composition Award sponsored by the Department of Music of Stanford University. After its premiere at Stanford it got selected by ACM ( Access Contemporary Music) and performed multiple times, including in their Best of Weekly Readings concerts. A sense of 21st-century life-slightly edgy, slightly dark-ran like a faint electric current through the short pieces.
