Taken from Psalm 34: 8, the communion anthem O taste and see was commissioned from Vaughan Williams for the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II and was first sung at Westminster Abbey on 2 June 1953. A simple, modal miniature, set in G major, the anthem is in two short parts, each headed with the innocent invocation of a haunting solo treble.This work offers an alternative version in Spanish.

Vaughan Williams' 1921 choral arrangement of Loch Lomond, this arrangement is for 3 Bb trumpets, 1 horn in F, 1 trombone, and 1 tuba, with optional treble and bass clef euphonium parts.  Performance time is approximately 1'45.  The arranger is willing to accomodate minor changes of instrumentation upon request.

The truth sent from above is an English folk carol of unknown authorship usually performed at Christmas. Collected in the early part of the 20th century by English folk song collectors in Shropshire and Herefordshire, a number of variations on the tune exist, but the text remains broadly similar. The first line of the carol is This is the truth sent from above.
