Piano and Double Reeds - Digital Download SKU: IZ.CMW211 Composed by Daniel Baldwin. Score and Parts. 86 pages. Imagine Music - Digital #CMW211. Published by Imagine Music - Digital (IZ.CMW211). 9 x 12 inches. My wife and I love to travel together. We are always looking for places to go together, as well as excuses to include each other in our own individual travels. One of my personal favorite travel opportunities is the International Double Reed Society conference. It is an opportunity to catch up with friends, make new friends and contacts, and make beautiful music. A number of years ago, I started the All Star Double Reed Band that has now premiered over a dozen new pieces for large double reed ensemble, and has recorded an album of those works. As a combined labor of love, I wrote Impressions of Yellowstone for my wife, a concert pianist, to perform with this group. The first movement, “Little Grand Canyon opens with a chorale in the piano illustrating the simple majesty of the great and wondrous park that my wife and I visit annually with her parents. From there, the music exemplifies my impression of this wondrous landscape; beautiful, powerful. A deep valley with a waterfall on one end, it is one of the more beautiful sites to see in Yellowstone. The second movement, Grand Prismatic, is a musical impression of the different perspectives of this very famous Yellowstone landmark. From the overlook, you see a stunning pond with steam emanating from it and surrounded by color. However, if you are to go down and stand next to the hotspot, your perspective changes greatly. Sulfur smells, danger from the soft crust (with boiling sulfuric liquid just below the surface), and a hot, steamy fog of mist permeate the area.In the finale, Old Faithful, tone painting is brought out in full force as the opening piano solo material brings about the image of the geyser bubbling and building below the surface. Then, at the point of explosion, you hear the water falling and the delight of all of the dozens of onlookers who visit this most famous site at Yellowstone every day.The original version, for double reeds, is dedicated the All Star Double Reed Band and my wife, Tammy Miller, who recorded it on the Co-Op Press label. The version for piano and string orchestra is dedicated to Tammy and the National Composers Orchestra who recorded it on the Baldwin Records label.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.821205 Composed by Gordon Thornett. Children,Contemporary,Holiday,World. Octavo. 7 pages. Gordon John Thornett #3864775. Published by Gordon John Thornett (A0.821205). It’s a beautiful, wonderful world,A world of wonder for all to share;Let us walk together, hand in hand,Spreading peace and friendship throughout the land…Inspired by a visit to botanical gardens in California, this song is intended to reflect the beauty of nature around us, and to suggest that we should live in harmony, breaking through the barriers that can so often divide us.In its simplest form it is a unison song, which can be performed by a community chorus or a children’s choir, but optional harmony (SATB) is given in places for a more advanced group - although this is fairly simple, even though it requires some divisi. There is a reprise of the first verse, a tone higher, with an optional descant.

Full Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.745389 By Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. By Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Arranged by David Tobin, Jeff Meegan, and Julian Gallant. Classical,Romantic Period,Traditional. Score and parts. 281 pages. Audio Network Limited #353366. Published by Audio Network Limited (A0.745389). We’ve shortened Tchaikovsky’s great festive work but kept all the big tunes including the Marseilleise! We’ve done away with the part for “any brass instruments” but we’ve enriched the orchestral texture in many places and added a whole battery of percussion. At the wonderfully evocative opening we simply heard a Russian orthodox choir and so included vocal parts; you can perform it with voices alone, voices with the orchestra, or just the strings. ------------- You can find a video showcasing the whole score and a professional recording of the piece from Abbey Road here: https://youtu.be/H4YnGRZyIFo -------------We hope you enjoy our arrangement and do tag us on social media if you use it @audionetwork and @meegantobinmusic. We'd love to hear from you!

Choral Choir,Choral,SA Chorus - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1470293 Composed by Samantha Jellett. Advent,Children,Christian,Christmas. 4 pages. Samantha Jellett #1048061. Published by Samantha Jellett (A0.1470293). 'The autumn days are past, Christmas is here at last, it's time to celebrate!'This bright and uplifting song for easy 2-part choir (unison verses) with piano would be a great addition to any school Christmas service or concert.  The four verses explore Christmas traditions such as hanging mistletoe, sending cards and sharing special food- as well as giving a nod to the lack of snow in most places: 'We wonder: 'Will it snow?', the answer's always 'NO!' but we still celebrate!'. The repeated choruses shift the focus to the Biblical meaning of Christmas; 'And when we celebrate, remember that first Christmas long, long ago, and the new baby born, a Saviour Christ the Lord, a gift of love.'.

Jazz Combo - Digital Download SKU: A0.979642 Composed by Roger Aldridge. Blues,Jazz. Score and parts. 1 pages. Roger Aldridge #432833. Published by Roger Aldridge (A0.979642). A slow, soulful blues for those times when we need to play a slow, soulful blues. The title comes from a day when I was reflecting upon lost ancient civilizations and wondering about their music. What did the music sound like? Did the musicians back then have steady gigs? This is a fairly conventional 12-bar blues, however it has some interesting quirks. The 4th bar has a sustained C with V7 (#9) chords moving chromatically upwards against it. In terms of conventional harmony, the C is a wrong note on several of the chords (like the Db7). The chord changes have reharmonization in several places. The ending, with a shift to major 7th chords, is unusual for a blues. Choral Choir (SATB) - Digital Download SKU: A0.821202 Composed by Gordon Thornett. Christian,Christmas,Sacred. Octavo. 13 pages. Gordon John Thornett #3863357. Published by Gordon John Thornett (A0.821202). Forget the traditional setting of We thee kings of Orient are! They also performed the piece on their pre-Christmas tour, using just organ for accompaniment. The setting may be performed effectively with piano or organ accompaniment, but the orchestral score and parts may be obtained from Swirly Music (ref. GTT-30B)  or direct from the composer (gtbham@me.com). Note that there are subdivisions in places. There is also a video of the performance at Trondheim Cathedral, with orchestral accompaniment - please copy and paste the following link: https://youtu.be/m8cU2u9eBqo.

String Quartet String Quartet - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1411462 Composed by Traditional Scottish Reel. Arranged by Genevieve Tabby. Classical,Folk,Traditional. 29 pages. Songburd Music #993728. Published by Songburd Music (A0.1411462). Hey fiddlers, One thing we know about old Scottish folk tunes is they never grow old, and even though we may never know who first wrote the delightful melody, “The Corrie Man,” we can tell from its lilting qualities—with its cheerful and spirited flow—that it brings to us images of the u-shaped valleys that are so familiar to the highlands of Scotland. We can easily imagine playing this traditional session tune among the rolling hills and farmlands of Scotland where musicians gather in their favorite places to play—near a tree or brook, on a farmhouse porch, in a sitting room or even in the kitchen.  Not to mention the casual setting of a pub where friends gather to raise a pint and sit in a big circle with an array of other fiddlers and musicians, playing tunes side-by-side enjoying each other’s company! With this backdrop our cellist Genevieve dedicated her time to arrange this artful reel for string quartet as part of our debut album, after which she had the wonderful opportunity to visit Scotland to study and perform with Alisdair Fraser and Natalie Haas, who inspired her to be a part of the rich tradition of preserving and performing Scottish folk music. We hope you will find that same inspiration while playing this piece with your friends and colleagues as much as we do.  It’s always a favorite showstopper!Slàinte Mhath (Cheers)ATLYS.

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.890137 Composed by Ignacy Jan Paderewski (1860–1941). Arranged by Andy Schmidt. Romantic Period. Score. 2 pages. Andy Schmidt #2861193. Published by Andy Schmidt (A0.890137). The wonderful classic by the renowned Polish composer. Another case of beautiful music that pianists might avoid because of the technical challenges involved. Don’t worry...we’re going to get through this! Paderewski, we love you, but your hands were just too big. Mélodie has lots of large intervals in the left hand that many pianists can’t play comfortably. But that’s no excuse to give up on a lovely piece of piano music, right? My edition of this piece features helpful fingerings and grayed-out noteheads indicating which notes can be avoided. I’ve also highlighted some places where the right hand can reach down and play the highest note of some of these large chords, with the goal of being faithful to Paderewski’s intentions whenever possible. These places are indicated by my exclusive, ground-breaking green notehead technology, which is frequently seen in my other editions.
