After much debate, I decided changing the key to E flat would be most appropriate for either small group of players ( minimum 7) or larger groups . In the piece there is even additional divisions to help create more texture and colors in parts 3 & 4, yet remaining simple and true but sounding beautiful , what flutes should sound like.Great for studying flutist, to high school and college students. Flute choir groups, etcwould be a great addition for your ensemble, whether playing at a recital, concert, church and other spiritual events, graduation, weddings, etc. This would also be a great tool or warm up for balance and shaping sound, volume, color, blending, phrasing and other important technique builders for your group.You'll love this arrangement   ,and so will the flutists and your audience!

A fun and energetic 4-Minute flute solo, inspired by the playing of Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull).  It covers the three Bs:  there's a lively, Baroque-sounding Bach section, a syncopated boogie section, and a Balkan inspired section in alternating 7/8 and 9/8 time signatures, all framed by a haunting, recurring slow motive.  I've written in the subdivisions of the Balkan section (e.g. 2+2+3+2) to help navigate the challenging time signatures.  Listening to the demo should help with the syncopated and Balkan sections - they are easier to feel than read for many.

Beautiful, easy arrangement of the old Folk Spiritual We Are Climbing Jacob's Ladder for 3 Flutes.  This Flute Trio begins with a Choral style statement of the tune, then interplayed division of the three parts.  There are no fancy rhythms or difficult lines for the individual parts; the interest of the piece comes from the extended harmony, the contrasting sections, and the interplay between the parts, making the piece sound more difficult than it really is.  Good, short Beginners recital piece of a well known tune.

I have gone along with the modernised version. In these variations each of the instruments gets tune and divisions in turn. It is more jolly (time of Christmas) than penitential (time of Lent or Advent), but, as it is in the minor mode, it can be used for either. Originally for flute, I've transcibed it for bassoon and realized the figured bass for piano. Though the piece doesn't have a wide range (Eb2 - Eb4), by the last divisions there are plenty of running sixteenth notes, and no rests to be found anywhere. That makes this a good piece for technique and endurance, without having to worry much about notes themselves.You are encouraged to experiment with dynamics, articulations, and ornamentation.
