Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.912481 Composed by Thomas R. Schadl. Christian,Contemporary,Easter,Romantic Period,Sacred. Octavo. 6 pages. Thomas R. Schadl #3019163. Published by Thomas R. Schadl (A0.912481). Based on Revelation 1: 5-6, Jesus Was The First To Conquer Death is an anthem that resembles the Victorian choral writings of Sir John Goss (1800-1880) and John Stainer (1840-1901). The first part states that Christ is the ruler of all earthly kings and should be sung at a stately manner, but not too slow. The next part, where the choir sings at a slower pace, is about Christ's love for humanity. The final section is performed at a moderately fast tempo and it is about Christ's eternal glory. The speed for the Amen section could be stretched to bring the anthem to a brilliant conclusion.    .

Choral Choir,Choral (SSAA) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.941930 By Styx. By Dennis Deyoung. Arranged by Cris Conerty. A Cappella,Barbershop,Contemporary,Pop,Rock. 6 pages. Cris Conerty #5728763. Published by Cris Conerty (A0.941930). This arrangement stays true to STYX's iconic anthem about maintaining faith and hope amidst adversity and inhumanity - still relevant today. 4 min. in length, but easy to learn with repeating musical phrases. Imagine your bass section belting out their feature at the bridge: And if I see a light, will I believe? Tell me, how will I know?! The counterpoint between parts during the repeated chorus sections are fun and breaths have been built in so no one needs to run out of air!  Tenors will love their melody moments and the baritone voice leading brings ease and flow to their part. This song could be the focal point fo your next show!

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1323137 Composed by Dom Waldock. 21st Century,Chamber,Classical,Contemporary,Film/TV. Score. 2 pages. Dominic Waldock #911404. Published by Dominic Waldock (A0.1323137). DEATH for solo piano, by Dom Waldock. This piano piece is directly inspired by Terry Pratchett’s depiction of the character Death from his fantasy Discworld novels. He is portrayed visually in a similar way to many other personifications in literature: as a skeleton in a hood and cloak carrying a scythe. His personality, however, is more comical and he has a particular fascination with humanity. Within this composition we hear the introduction of Death with the sound of “funeral bells”, replicated by long and slow notes low in the piano’s range. The harmony is dissonant and unnerving as the supernatural being strolls through his realm. The music soon takes a turn to a mid-register melody to represent the mortal world and the death of a loved one, embellished with high-pitched arpeggios to suggest the approach of something magical. Eventually Death’s chimes and the mortal being meet and their themes are intertwined, as the reaper leads them out of this world and into the next. They fade off into the distance and all we are left with is the lonesome ring of the funeral bells.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1273068 By Public Domain. By Public Domain. Arranged by Noemi Bretas. Country,Folk,Historic,Pop,Traditional. Octavo. 15 pages. Marcelo Borba #865257. Published by Marcelo Borba (A0.1273068). Arrangement for 4 voices choir. Shosholoza is a popular South African folk song that has a rich history and cultural significance. The origins of the song can be traced back to the late 1800s and early 1900s, during the time of the South African gold and diamond mining boom. The word Shosholoza is believed to have been derived from the Ndebele and Zulu languages and translates roughly to go forward or make way for the next person. It was initially a call used by train drivers and mine workers to synchronize their movements while pushing and pulling railway cars or working in the mines. The song's lyrics and melody evolved over time through oral tradition, passed down among the workers as a form of communication, motivation, and solidarity. The rhythm and repetitive chanting helped the workers maintain a sense of unity and cooperation during physically demanding and often harsh conditions.During the era of racial segregation and oppression in South Africa, Shosholoza became an anthem of resilience and hope for the black South African population. It symbolized their spirit of endurance and unity in the face of adversity, and it came to be associated with the struggle against apartheid. With time, Shosholoza gained popularity beyond the confines of the mines and railway yards. It became a well-known folk song, performed by choirs, musicians, and cultural groups across South Africa and around the world. It embodies the spirit of ubuntu (the belief in the interconnectedness of all humanity) and has been used as a symbol of South African identity and pride. In modern times, Shosholoza continues to be celebrated as a cherished piece of South African musical heritage. It is often performed during sporting events, cultural festivals, and gatherings as a way to celebrate unity, strength, and resilience.Overall, Shosholoza remains a powerful reminder of South Africa's history, the struggles its people endured, and the enduring spirit of hope and solidarity that transcends adversity.

It is the eighth movie of the Star Trek franchise, and the second starring the cast of the television series Star Trek: The Next Generation. Jerry Goldsmith scored First Contact, his third Star Trek feature.  Instead of composing a menacing theme to underscore the Borg, Goldsmith wrote a pastoral theme linked to humanity's hopeful first contact. The theme uses a four-note motif used in Goldsmith's Star Trek V: The Final Frontier score, which is used in First Contact as a friendship theme and general thematic link. Star Trek: First Contact was released on November 22, 1996, and was the highest-grossing film on its opening weekend. Critical reception was mostly positive. First Contact was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Makeup, and won three Saturn Awards. Subscribe to my YouTube Channel to stay updated on new releases.
