Here for the first time is my sheet music arrangement for this classic from long ago. Before he was famous, George was what was known as a song plugger. He would play newly composed songs to help generate record sales. In the early 20th century, many homes had player pianos. George's performance was preserved on such a roll and is only now available to the general public.Composed in 1918 by John W. Collette. The phrase “blowing bubbles” symbolizes the act of chasing dreams, hopes, and aspirations. Just like soap bubbles that float away and disappear, dreams can be elusive, fleeting, and transient.
