Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.997091 Composed by Traditional. Arranged by Anastas Mihaylov. Folk,World. Guitar Tab. 8 pages. Anastas Mihaylov #5205607. Published by Anastas Mihaylov (A0.997091). Horo is the general name for the traditional Bulgarian dances. The presented Dospatsko horo is a traditional dance from the South Bulgaria. There are not many arrangements of traditional Balkan music for guitar. This one is for finger style playing, level of difficulty- intermediate. The melody should be played clearly as well as the base. Be careful with the middle voices. The time signature is 7/8- a triple time witch first beat is longer than the next two. It works well for concert performance as well as for fun. Notes and tabs included.

Pedal Harp - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1495265 By Anna-Maria Ravnopolska-Dean. By Parashkev Hadjiev. Arranged by Anna-Maria Ravnopolska-Dean. 20th Century,Classical,Instructional,Traditional. Score. 32 pages. Arpa d'Oro #1071783. Published by Arpa d'Oro (A0.1495265). The 12 pieces in Bulgarian Rhythm by the great Bulgarian composer Parashkev Haddjiev were written originally for piano. The composer had a special gift for composlng brief character pieces that convey a specific mood or illustlate a glven musical problem. Such are the pieces in this collection where the main issue is rfurthmic. Bulgarian Rhyhm, as Bartok calls it, is uneven. It alternates duple and triple beats within each measure. The pieces are fresh and cute in a typical folk-like style. Ravnopolska-Dean’s arrangement uses specific harp techniques and effects.   Mastering the rhythrnic patterns found in this colleetion enhances inner rhyhmic stability and provides a valuabie bridge to solving more complex rhytmic problems. As an additional teaching aid Ravnopolska-Dean’s performances of all of them are available on youtube.

Harp - Digital Download SKU: A0.986089 Composed by Tsvetelina Likova. Folk,World. Score. 6 pages. Tsvetelina Likova #6087897. Published by Tsvetelina Likova (A0.986089). Original composition for the harp (both pedal and lever) by Tsvetelina Likova. This piece is influenced and named by the traditional Bulgarian dance 'Rachenitsa'. The complexity of the rhythm is one of the most typical features of Bulgarian Folklore music. The dance rachenitsa is in 7/8 measure which is a so-called asymmetrical (unevenly grouped) rhythm when the beats are from the type: 2+2+3 - consisting of 7 beats and 3 groupings, where the group of three is placed on the third grouping. Each first note of every grouping should be emphasised (as shown at the beginning of the piece with the harp percussion). .
