Like the fog in a storm and the sun who hides its face,
Like pure shadows at noon, or a star out of place,
Like the moon overhead in a dark and unclear night,
I beseech more earnestly, seeking God’s pure light.

Like bold sighs braving pain in Gethsemane’s lone space,
Like the rock placed therein meant for grief’s leaning place,
As blood dripping like rain for the pain is far too great,
I beseech more earnestly, seeking God’s own traits.

Like a child asking “How?” to his Father up above,
Like each step to ascend on his ladder of love,
Like each stretch sure to reach far beyond what I now know,
I beseech more earnestly, trusting God to show.

All at once I see light like a ray in shadowed sky,
And it peers through each sphere as God’s voice in reply.
Then more light, as if day, sheds its warmth into my soul . . .
I still ask more earnestly, trusting to be whole.

Perfect light comes from Him as He answers from his sky;
From my bowed, lowered head, I can know Him on high.
Perfect love shines below, from his ever-holy form,
Right into my mended soul . . . his love to adorn.

The famous country music song, Tennessee Waltz is arranged as played by internationally famous pianist Jon England.

Tennessee Waltz is a popular country music song with lyrics by Redd Stewart and music by Pee Wee King written in 1946 and first released in January 1948. The song became a multimillion seller via a 1950 recording – as The Tennessee Waltz – by Patti Page.

All versions of the lyrics narrate a situation in which the persona has introduced his or her sweetheart to a friend who then waltzes away with her or him. The lyrics are altered for pronoun gender on the basis of the gender of the singer.

The popularity of Tennessee Waltz made it the fourth official song of the state of Tennessee in 1965.  Page's recording was inducted into Grammy Hall of Fame in 1998.

The C Seed: Early Reading on the Grand Staff begins on the C above the treble staff (two ledger lines).  Students encounter repeated and step-wise notes as the seed falls two octaves down to middle C.  The first phrase is repeated in the middle C range after which the seed falls two more octaves to C below the bass staff.  The pitches then skip from C to C to describe the seed's transformation into a plant. Storytelling text suggests the action. Young students will enjoy pantomiming the seed's movements as the piece is modeled.  The text and notes on the staff reinforce landmark C's, steps and skips, and pitch direction.  .

A soothing and reflective fingerstyle classical guitar solo by Bradley Powell (The Candlelight Guitarist), from his album Beatitude Bridge.  It is a moderate tempo,  intermediate classical guitar level piece (though perhaps sounding more advanced). With classical style chord voicings in a modern folk-jazz chord progression. It switches between the keys of E major and E minor, then the bridge passes through E, D, and C major keys, returning to E minor/major.  This sheet music is in Standard notation... ABOUT the composer: Brad Powell (aka The Candlelight Guitarist) began guitar at age ten, inspired by The Beatles. At 15, he became a protégé of jazz guitarist Joe Pass, and later studied classical guitar under Vincent Macaluso, and at California State University, Northridge under Ronald Purcell, with a master class under Andrés Segovia. Brad was featured performing Gerald Wilson's Sonata for Guitar and Orchestra at the Hollywood Bowl, with the composer conducting. Brad was mentored in composition by David Rose (composer for Little House on the Prairie). Brad has composed music for TV, including Hill Street Blues and The 'A' Team, working with Mike Post. Brad has ten albums as The Candlelight Guitarist. When not making music, Brad is often out hiking with his four dogs. Brad also played as the solo guitarist for Disney's Princess Breakfast Adventure at Disney's Grand Californian Resort by Disneyland (March 2019-January 2024), providing music for the Disney Princesses (Belle, Tiana, Jasmine, Rapunzel, Mulan, Aurora, Ariel, Pocahontas, Cinderella, and their friends and guests).
