Small Ensemble Flute,Harp,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.987749 Composed by Dana Taylor. Contemporary. Score and parts. 20 pages. Dana Taylor Music #3053973. Published by Dana Taylor Music (A0.987749). This is the third of three movements: Dance, Tango and Minuet and Duo. They are each about 2 and a half minutes long.So they would make a very enjoyable interlude in your concert, or a challenging and rewarding project for an unusual trio. They are intended for advanced high school or college level musicians, or the equivalent community orchestra members. The Minuet is a classical waltz. The Duo refers to a trio minus one instrument.. (The mp3 uses viola. I have an mp3 with violin. Ask me at Dana@danataylormusic.com) Check out my other works here at SMP, and my website, DanaTaylorMusic.com.Performance Notes:1. Choose either violin or viola, but not both. The piece was written for Flute, Violin and Harp players. However, they didn't play it and I like thelower viola voice better anyway. So take your choice. But remember, Balance Is Everything.2. All three movements are dances. They should sound like it.Even better, they should be played for dancers.(Let me know if you have balanced one or more dancers with three musicians on the same stage.I would love to see a video.)2017 Chamber Music Contest Entry - Original

String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.738297 Composed by Fiona Hickie. Classical,Contemporary,Multicultural,World. Score and parts. 25 pages. Fiona Alice Hickie #6424939. Published by Fiona Alice Hickie (A0.738297). Three pieces for string quartet inspired by three Australian animals. Emus The emu is a large, flightless Australian bird. In 1932 the government decided there were too many of them and sent out troops to get rid of them. After a month they gave up and to this day we can declare it a victory for the emus. Tiger Snake A tiger snake is native to Australia and is known for its aggressive nature and deadly venom. They are most dangerous during breeding season. It is named after the variety of tiger snake that has yellow bands. This piece starts with a snake asleep on a walking path, then wakes up... What does he do?Penguin Waltz Penguins are also flightless birds that live in the southern hemisphere. They have flippers instead of wings to move through the water. They also have short legs which make them appear like they are waddling when they are walking.

SATB Chorus, Piano, Flute, Oboe - Digital Download SKU: IZ.VMW221V Composed by Robert M. Shearn. Octavo. 15 pages. Imagine Music - Digital #VMW221V. Published by Imagine Music - Digital (IZ.VMW221V). 9 x 12 inches.“The Galaxies is a grand orchestral composition in A minor written for string orchestra, mixing classical and modern musical writing styles. This piece tells the story of three young American astronauts who went up to space to discover the galaxies and life in outer space. They found out things that no one has ever thought of, the gleams and sophistication, the immense beauty that defies our human knowledge on space. This piece is divided into three parts, namely Adagietto, Maestoso and Grandioso. Adagietto represents the mysteriousness of space and the awe they felt as they took their first glance into the surreal world of fantasies and imaginations.Maestoso is the central part of the piece, where the main theme resembles the exquisitely beautiful galaxies in outer space. Over several years, they found a way to communicate with the extra-terrestrial and developed a mutual understanding. This part contains various majestically glorious melodies, symbolising the visions of humanity. They took a giant leap of faith for this nearly impossible mission to perceive what humankind can never envision. Grandioso signifies the lavish natural architectures that filled the galaxies and the monumental bonding between humans and aliens. As the friendship blossomed, they further explored the world that has been an enigma for centuries. Before the piece ends, the main theme is delivered again. This time, it is an emotional farewell as these astronauts return to Earth and cannot wait to share information that will revolutionise astrophysics forever.

Easy Piano - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.762297 Composed by Lori Cummings. Children,Contest,Festival,Folk,Instructional,Traditional. Score. 1 pages. Lori Cummings #3530771. Published by Lori Cummings (A0.762297). This beginner song was inspired by the peepers (little frogs) singing one spring night.  Written in G position in the bass clef, the right hand plays the frog sound, F# and G played together.  I always call these frog's eyes because they remind me of frog's eyes.  This song is actually a game.  Each measure has a different colour of frog in it.  I use bingo chips, but anything with matching colours would work.  Put them in a bag, pulling one at a time.  The student has to play whatever colour is pulled.  They should do this 4-5 times for each colour.  Then play the song through twice.  They repeat this for each practice session.  This is a game that I use frequently with my younger students as it teaches them to break their practice into smaller segments and they have fun while they practice.

Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1200229 By Skeeter Davis. By Arthur Kent and Sylvia Dee. Arranged by Timothy Stapay. Broadway,Film/TV,Musical/Show,Pop,Rock,Standards. Score. 6 pages. Timothy Stapay #799031. Published by Timothy Stapay (A0.1200229). An arrangement of The End Of The World,  a song covered by many famous artists. includingThe Carpenters; thanks to the phenomenal singing of Karen Carpenter.  The End of the World was written by composer Arthur Kent and lyricist Sylvia Dee, who often worked as a team. The Carpenters (officially known as Carpenters were an American vocal and instrumental duo consisting of siblings Karen (1950–1983) and Richard Carpenter (born 1946). They produced a distinctive soft musical style, combining Karen's contralto vocals with Richard's harmonizing, arranging, and composition skills. During their 14-year career, the Carpenters recorded 10 albums along with many singles and several television specials. Karen possessed a powerful singing voice, and close miking brought out many nuances in her performances.  Richard arranged their music to take advantage of this, though Karen had a three-octave vocal range.  Richard's work with Karen was influenced by the music of Les Paul, whose overdubbing of the voice of wife and musical partner Mary Ford allowed her to be used as both the lead and harmony vocals.[6] By multi-tracking, Richard was able to use Karen and himself for the harmonies to back Karen's lead. The overdubbed background harmonies were distinctive to the Carpenters, but it was the soulful, engaging sound of Karen's lead voice that made them so recognizable.  Record executive Mike Curb said it was Karen's voice that took the Carpenters above straight pop music into pop rock.   She was known as a one take wonder and could deliver a strong performance on the first attempt.Richard Carpenter was the creative force behind the Carpenters' sound. An accomplished keyboard player, composer and arranger, music critic Daniel Levitin called him one of the most gifted arrangers to emerge in popular music.  The duo's smooth harmonies were not in step with contemporary music, which was dominated by heavy rock.  Instead, the Carpenters strove for a rich and melodic sound, along the same vein as the Beach Boys and the Mamas & the Papas, but with greater fullness and orchestration including frequent use of small string and horn sections and introspective lyrics centred around relationships.  Richard also admired the musicianship and arranging skills of Frank Zappa, and the two briefly met backstage at the Billboard Forum in 1975.End Of The World: Lyrics:Why does the sun go on shining? Why does the sea rush to shore?Don't they know it's the end of the world?'Cause you don't love me any moreWhy do the birds go on singing? Why do the stars glow above?Don't they know it's the end of the world? It ended when I lost your love[Bridge]I wake up in the morning and I wonderWhy everything's the same as it wasI can't understand, no, I can't understandHow life goes on the way it doesWhy does my heart go on beating? Why do these eyes of mine cry?Don't they know it's the end of the world? It ended when you said goodbyeWhy does my heart go on beating? Why do these eyes of mine cry?Don't they know it's the end of the world? It ended when you

Flute,Piano - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.551625 Composed by Claude Debussy (1862 – 1918). Arranged by James Guthrie, ASCAP. Instructional,New Age,Romantic Period,Standards. Score and part. 22 pages. Jmsgu3 #5325567. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.551625). Claude Debussy: Arabesque 1. Duration: ca. 3:30. Debussy's Arabesques are considered to be one of the earliest expressions of French impressionism. They are a suite of two piano pieces that contain hints of Debussy's developing musical style. Although they did not receive much attention when they were first published, they are now regarded as early impressionist standards. Debussy seems to wander through modes and keys, achieving evocative scenes throughout both pieces. The Arabesques are important in the history of music as they represent a significant development in the impressionist movement. Claude Debussy was a French composer born in 1862 who developed a highly original system of harmony and musical structure that expressed the ideals of the Impressionist and Symbolist painters and writers of his time. He is considered one of the most important and influential composers of the 20th century. Debussy's compositions, including his orchestral poems and piano music, helped establish the musical language for much of the twentieth century. Critics often credited Debussy with pioneering a genre called impressionism, although Debussy consistently rejected the term. Debussy's best-known musical arabesque is his Prélude à l’après-midi d’un faune (1894).

Published by Caiden Christensen (A0.1389579). This song ventures into a pitch black void of a cave. A cave that has only been heard in legends. A cave full of wealth and riches beyond imagination!.. But, this cave is cursed. And anyone who has gone to search for it... Has never been seen again. The ones who are smart enough to turn back before they arrive at the cave are the ones who lose themselves. They become slaves to the cave, they no longer know who they are. They are lost to the cave.Try not to lose yourself on the way to the cave... And then make it back here, where it's safe.
