Well, the residents of Dizzytown have this feeling ALL the time as their little town is constantly spinning. But they quite like it (in fact, they have learned to dance to it) and they are inviting you and your audience to join them.Score Length: 3 pages PLUS optional violin and cello parts. Brass ensemble 2 Trumpets - Digital Download SKU: LX.30-2328R Transcribed and Edited for B-flat or C Trumpets. Composed by George P. Telemann. Edited by David Cooper. 56 pages. Roger Dean - Digital #e30/2328R. Published by Roger Dean - Digital (LX.30-2328R). Originally written for two flutes or recorders, Dr. Cooper has edited and prepared these to be beautiful teaching pieces for two trumpets. While they are titled “suites,†they are organized more like sonatas in the fast/slow/faster movement format. These duets are unique in that they are canonic; this might suggest simplicity, but these duets are anything but simplistic. Many of the duets incorporate chromaticism while others modulate. Both players have an equal role in each piece as a duet, and the music sounds complete even with only one player. This allows these pieces to be practiced as solo etudes and as duets. A Performance/Accompaniment CD is included allowing the player to hear a complete duet performance and also to play along as either trumpet 1 or 2.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.998788 Composed by Robert A. Howard. 20th Century,Contemporary,Standards. Score. 4 pages. Robert A. Howard #6009611. Published by Robert A. Howard (A0.998788). The church of All Saints Tudeley, outside Maidstone in Kent (England) has stained glass windows like few other churches. Fairly unusually, all of the current windows were designed by a single person, the great Russian twentieth-century artist Marc Chagall. They make for a dazzling spectacle in that small church, as they are characterised by strong, bold colours. However, behind their commissioning lies a heart-wrenching true story as they commemorate the tragic death of a young local girl in a boating accident. This piano piece aims to reflect some of the poignancy of these images. The work is characterised by a constant ostinato pedal (a repeated pattern on a single note). Around this, various triadic harmonies are juxtaposed, as the piece gradually makes what may be interpreted as a 'heavenly' ascent in pitch to the piano's highest register. The piece is highly accessible and is appropriate for most standards of pianist, including students and advanced players.

String Trio Cello,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1203749 Composed by Ludwig van Beethoven (1770 – 1827). Arranged by James M. Guthrie, ASCAP. 19th Century,Chamber,Classical,Contest,Festival,Wedding. 10 pages. Jmsgu3 #802313. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1203749). Score and performance parts:  Score: 4 pages. Duration: ca. 2:40 minutes.Contents: AllegrettoFeatures chromatic tertian relations.Beethoven's Bagatelles Op. 33 are quite typical of his early style, retaining many compositional features of the early Classical period.  The first bagatelle in particular is arguably one of Beethoven's most well-known pieces. While they may seem light-hearted and not to be taken too seriously, they are still well-crafted works that embody the younger Beethoven's style. The Bagatelles Op. 33 were composed by Beethoven in 1801-02 and published in 1803. Bagatelles are shorter and less complex than sonatas, often consisting of a single movement. They were intended to be played as light entertainment or as encores at the end of a concert.

String Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.719773 Composed by Many. Arranged by Curtis Hanson. Renaissance. Score and parts. 60 pages. Curtis Hanson #6258371. Published by Curtis Hanson (A0.719773). Hey string players and teachers, are you looking for something different to program or teach your students? This collection of pieces, suitable for beginning and experienced ensembles, may be what you’re looking for. For the choral musician, the secular music of the 16th and early 17th centuries comprise some of the most delightful works of early repertoire. The madrigals, lieder, and chansons in this collection are arranged for string quartet and quintet. The intent of these arrangements is to enable the instrumental musician an opportunity to experience a genre perhaps less familiar, with its varying degrees of rhythmic complexity and the juxtaposed interplay of duple and triple rhythmic figures. In keeping with the period, no dynamics are indicated, and articulations are kept at a minimum. Traditionally, repeated sections are to be played at a softer dynamic, but nothing is written in stone. For the up-tempo piece, as many are, rhythmic cleanliness and clarity are paramount, particularly in the iconic Fa-la-la sections. Accordingly, although they may be warranted, no slurs are given. Occasional staccatos are suggested for crispness. Vocal breath marks (') above the staff are meant to serve as guides in phrasing only, and tempos are only suggestions. As non-sacred works, they are generally not meant as 'serious' music, but rather as the music of the common people. Bottom line, they are meant to be fun, and the performer is free to interpret as desired. This collection is a companion to the arranger’s series of Renaissance Motets Arranged for Strings. With the purchase of this collection, permission is granted to photocopy parts as needed. The audio example is of the first few pieces in the collection.

Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1125807 By Michael Swedberg. By John Henry Hopkins Jr. Arranged by Terrence Niska. Christmas,Contemporary,Holiday. Score. 8 pages. Niska Music Publishing #726547. Published by Niska Music Publishing (A0.1125807). The travels of the three wise men as they followed a star to see the newborn King was the inspiration for this arrangement. It starts with the right hand representing the twinkling of the stars in the vastness of the heavens, while the left hand provides the feeling of winds blowing across the desert sands as the magi set out on their journey. Soon the melody is heard in the right hand, though in a more stately rhythm than the traditional, more pastoral original. The left hand continues its sweeping motion unabated and drives the piece ever onward as the wise men draw ever nearer to their destination. The minor mood of the song is replaced in the chorus as the star of wonder shines down upon them, filling their souls with hope. Eventually they arrive at the stable and offer their gifts to the babe lying in a manger: gold, frankincense and myrrh. It is the last of these gifts which foreshadow the death of Christ and his burial in the stone-cold tomb. After they have spent some time praising their new-found king, the three wise men return to their homeland as the music follows them back across the desert sands to their homes in the East.

Clarinet Duet Clarinet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.552347 Composed by Georg Philipp Telemann 1681-1767. Arranged by James M. Guthrie. Baroque,Instructional,Standards,Wedding. 2 scores. 21 pages. Jmsgu3 #6329817. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.552347). I. Dolce II. Allegro III. Largo IV. VivaceGeorg Philipp Telemann's Sonatas Op. 2, also known as the Six Sonatas for two flutes (or violins), are significant for several reasons. First, they are dedicated to two young music lovers, explicitly appealing to a circle of pupils and music enthusiasts. The pieces foster the ability of musical expression and are characterized by a combination of expansive baroque thematic material and charming galant features in the slow and fast movements, respectively. Telemann was considered one of the leading German composers of his time, and his works, including the Sonatas Op. 2, reflect his significant contribution to the Baroque music era. The Methodical nature of these sonatas, as described when they were published in 1732, is also noteworthy, as they included a second, ornamented version of the simple melodies, showcasing Telemann's innovative approach to composition.  Furthermore, Telemann's music, which incorporates French, Italian, and German national styles, remained highly regarded by colleagues and critics alike during his lifetime and the latter half of the 18th century. Numerous theorists and prominent composers cited his works as models, and he influenced pupils of J.S. Bach in Leipzig, such as Wilhelm Friedemann Bach. Therefore, Telemann's Sonatas Op. 2 contributed to the expansion of domestic music-making and influenced other composers and musicians of his time and beyond.

Instrumental Duet,Lever Harp - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.803852 Composed by Traditional Christmas Carol. Arranged by Serena O’Meara. Christmas,Holiday,Multicultural,Standards,Traditional,World. 6 pages. O'Meara Music #5026271. Published by O'Meara Music (A0.803852). This sweet, well known Christmas melody was originally a Finnish springtime song, dating to the 13th Century. It was published in 1582 in a book of seventy-four songs. After receiving a copy of that book as a gift, John Mason Neale set his lyrics celebrating the famous Bohemian (907-935) to this melody. In 1854, the book Carols for Easter-tide was published, including Good King Wenceslas as a Springtime song. This arrangement has 5 verses in the key of G. It represents Good King Wenceslas and his Page trudging through (eighth notes) the harsh winter weather on December 26 as they leave their warm castle to help the poor. Occasionally there is a pause as they catch their breath or look through the swirling snow at how far they have traveled. The fourth verse represents the Page walking in King Wenceslas’s footsteps. The melody is divided evenly between parts. Dynamics are clearly marked.

Baroque,Chamber,Christian,Christmas. 31 pages. RayThompsonMusic #756754. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.1156439). Arranged standard wind quintet Charpentier wrote a lot of music for Christmas: oratorios on Christmas themes, pastorals, noels, and a lovely Midnight Mass for Christmas. He arranged a lot of French Christmas Carols (Noels) as 2 suites _ Noels sur les instruments and Noels pour les instruments for a string orchestra and 2 flutes/recorders. This is my transcription of the Noëls sur les instruments for standard wind quintet. (flute, oboe, clarinet, horn and bassoon) They are 6 pieces : Les Bourgeois de Chastre (The Townsfolk of Chastre)  Où s'en vont ces gais bergers (Where have the merry shepherds gone?)  Joseph est bien marié (Joseph is happily married)  Or nous dites Marie (But, tell us Mary)  A la venue de Noël (With the coming of Christmas)  Une jeune pucelle (A young maid/virgin/girl) This is purely the order they are shown in his manuscript.   They appear in his Midnight Mass in the following order: (This follows the Christmas Story) Joseph est bien marié (Joseph is well married) Or nous dites Marie (But, tell us Mary) Une jeune pucelle (A young maid/virgin/girl) Les Bourgeois de Chastre (The Townsfolk of Chastre)  Où s'en vont ces gais bergers (Where have the merry shepherds gone?) Key: C major. This work is very abstract, as in the last act of hamlet this work is specifically focused on the last part of the last act where we can see many of the characters dying one by one in a grand amalgamation of death, we can see here that there is no rhyme or reason to the parts being played, they are all independent, remincant of the lack of reason to the deaths in the final act and also a reminder that as they are independent voices with seperate stories journies and goals as with everyone who died in the final act, they slowly fade away and there remains the timpani, drumming out a repetative marching tune as homage to the militaristic tradition that rought the bodies of elsinore cold, followed by at last 3 notes played on a harp as a church bell to the funerary service of those who died in this act.

My setting of the old English poem Epitaph upon a young married couple dead and buried together by Richard Crashaw (1613? - 1649).TO these whom death again did wed This grave 's the second marriage-bed. For though the hand of Fate could force 'Twixt soul and body a divorce, It could not sever man and wife,         Because they both lived but one life. Peace, good reader, do not weep; Peace, the lovers are asleep. They, sweet turtles, folded lie In the last knot that love could tie.  Let them sleep, let them sleep on, Till the stormy night be gone, And the eternal morrow dawn; Then the curtains will be drawn, And they wake into a light  Whose day shall never die in night.
