Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1149484 By Christopher Alexander. By Adolphe-Charles Adam and John Sullivan Dwight. Arranged by Christopher Alexander. Chamber,Christmas,Religious,Sacred,Traditional. Octavo. 24 pages. Christopher Alexander #736530. Published by Christopher Alexander (A0.1149484). This is a masterful rendition of the renowned Christmas carol. With the chorus gently opening in unison (and closing in the same way), the audience is then taken on a beautiful lyrical journey. The part-writing in each of the voices give the chorus the opportunity to blend and even make the chords ring with excitement throughout the work. The instruments uses triplets and duplets interchangeably throughout the work as they seemlessly accompany the lyrics to the beloved tune. Your violinist and cellist will have a performance outreach as they play their respective melodic lines. The key change further explores the optimism and hope the Christmas season brings, culminating in a thunderous vibrant moment on the word glory, proclaiming the power of His majesty before tapering into the divine night. The audience will be inspired with your choir's performance of this work. Violin and cello part scores are included.

Bass Guitar,Bass Voice - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1453115 By Florence. By Florence. Arranged by Florence. 21st Century,Rock. Full Performance. Duration 240. Florence #1032349. Published by Florence (A0.1453115). Running This Realm is a high-energy song that celebrates individuality, resilience, and unapologetic self-expression. With a blend of confidence and defiance, the lyrics paint a vivid picture of a protagonist who refuses to conform to societal norms. Here’s what makes this song stand out:Unapologetic Attitude: The verses introduce a character who rolls into the beat with ice-cold confidence. They’re unafraid of the spotlight, and their rebellious spirit sets them apart. The lyrics emphasize self-reliance and a refusal to compromise.Rule Breaker: The chorus serves as a rallying cry. The protagonist claims ownership of their world, asserting that they dictate the terms. The use of “punks” and “fools” highlights their disdain for those who question their authority.Mystery and Intrigue: In the second verse, we learn about the protagonist’s MVP status. Their enigmatic persona keeps listeners guessing—what’s their backstory? The reference to “mining my own gold” hints at hidden depths and untold stories.Wild Energy: The bridge amplifies the intensity. The protagonist defies haters, flaunting their bling and grinding relentlessly. The song’s energy mirrors a wildfire, untamed and unstoppable.Empowerment: Overall, “Rebel Anthem” empowers listeners to embrace their uniqueness, rise above adversity, and create their own path. It’s a sonic declaration of independence.

Cello Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.784341 Composed by Joshua Hauser. Instructional. Individual part. 38 pages. Slide Ride #5288685. Published by Slide Ride (A0.784341). 1 Octave Scale Studies in 15+ keys for 4-part ensembles of like or mixed instruments If this is your first exposure to these scale studies, you are in for a treat! Donuts, if you make a mistake! The initial incarnation of these studies were written for trombone quartet and we would play them in the Tennessee Tech Trombone Choir with the challenge that whomever made the first mistake had to buy donuts for the rest of the ensemble. Since then I have brought that version to several clinics and warm up sessions. One time before I got to explain the title, a fellow trombone professor said, Oh, I get it! Don’t step in the holes!I only wish I had thought of that myself... Since we have one of the best donut shops in TN here in Cookeville, treating the studio to sugar coated goodies was always my intent. As with those initial exercises, you can vary these as much as you’d like.·     Choose a tempo.·     Choose a dynamic.·     Choose an articulation/style.One way I like to play these is to have one person be the model, playing the entire scale over and over while everyone else plays the fragmented versions. That helps everyone to keep on track and stay in time. Double or triple up the parts for ensemble cohesion with a larger group.Practice one key, gradually speeding it up to improve fluidity, or choose a variation and take it through all keys, playing version A, B, C, or D then skipping to play the same set in a new key.If you want an additional challenge, play them in different octaves or change the key. Play the F Major set in f minor (all forms), different modes, etc. Players really have to be on their toes to remember if they are playing melodic minor in the ascending or descending form! For jazz players, try swinging them in dorian or mixolydian modes. The variations are endless! If you are using these with transposing instruments, 1) is F Major in Concert Pitch, 2) is Bb Major in Concert pitch, and so on. When you reach a scale that is enharmonic for another key (Db/C#, Gb/F#, or Cb/B), they are presented in both keys for each instrument so Trumpets can play in Eb while the Flutes are playing in C# with similar examples for all keys. All Donut Etudes with the same volume number are compatible so you can play them in mixed quartets or large ensembles with one or more instruments/people on part 1 and a different instrument on part 2, etc. Since the quartets are all identical, conductors/coaches can use any of the scores to tell which part should be playing at what time. Once you have played a scale with one set of parts, everyone can rotate to a different part and play the same scales again!Enjoy!

Easy Piano - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.596616 Composed by Juan María Solare. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score. 5 pages. Juan Maria Solare #6211543. Published by Juan Maria Solare (A0.596616). Mientras dormías (Spanish for While You Were Sleeping) is a simple neoclassical and postmodern lullaby, composed (in its original version) for solo piano. (To say of a lullaby that it is simple is quite foreseeable: the striking thing would be a complex lullaby.)The unspoken interlocutor, the you alluded to, can be anyone: son, lover, pet ... but also a sleeping audience whom you try to shake with your harangue, informing them of what they have just lost, of what happened while they were distracted.Technically, it is a simple deconstruction or recontextualization of the famous Wiegenlied by Johannes Brahms. Hence the categorization of postmodern, due to the use of the camouflaged quotation as an essential structuring device (although a well-prepared musicologist should better not read this).Character: gentle andante (walking). Piece composed in Bremen (Germany), November 17 and 18, 2020. Duration: approximately 3:45.   International Standard Musical Work Code (ISWC): T-301.822.636-9

Score and parts. 6 pages. David Warin Solomons #1985931. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.577527). Instrumental duo based on an anonymous 15th century macaronic song about a girl who was made pregnant, and then abandoned, by a cleric. The melody is taken by the guitar in with variations in the middle, while the melody instrument has a countermelody, and then, in the final section, the melody instruments provides a few divisions. The sound sample is an electronic preview For interest here are the words of the original song with my translation of the Latin bits: Up I arose in verno tempore [in springtime] and found a maiden sub quadam arbore [under some tree] that did complain in suo pectore [in her bosom] saying I feel puerum movere [the little boy moving] Adieu pleasures antiquo tempore, [in times gone by] full oft with you solebam ludere. [I used to play] but for my sins mihi deridere [they hold me in derision] with right good cause incipio flere [I start to weep] Now what shall I say meis parentibus, [to my parents] because I lay with quidam clericus [some man of the cloth] They will beat me cum virgis et fustibus [with sticks and clubs] and me sore chaste coram omnibus [in front of everybody] With the said child quid faciam [what shall I do] shall I it keep vel interficiam [or kill it] If I slay it quo loco fugiam [where shall I flee to] I shall lose God et vitam eternam [and eternal life].
