Small Ensemble Clarinet,Flute,Oboe,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.811677 Composed by Carl Philipp Emmanuel Bach 1714 - 1788. Arranged by Edited by Pat Spence. Classical,Concert,Instructional. Score and parts. 22 pages. Piper Publications #3453865. Published by Piper Publications (A0.811677). DUET IN 3 MOVEMENTS  (Andante, Allegro and Allegretto) by C.P.E. BACH for flute and violin or two flutes. Written in 1748 when Bach was working at the court of Frederic the Great of Prussia. It was clearly intended to be played by Frederic - a very talented flute player with either Bach playing the violin part or Frederic's flute teacher, Quantz playing the second part on the flute. Between them Bach and Quantz wrote a great many sonatas, concertos and other chamber music for the flute for Frederic to perform. The Duetto is well within the ability of players of about grade 6 ABRSM and is also suitable for pairs of oboes or clarinets. The violin/ flute 2 part has been transposed for clarinet in Bb which makes it suitable for many duet combinations.
