Brass Ensemble - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1027554 Composed by Adriano Bandieri. Arranged by Rickey L. Savage. Classical. Score and parts. 2 pages. SavageBeatzz, Ltc #1989673. Published by SavageBeatzz, Ltc (A0.1027554). This arrangement has multiple goals for a brass quintet. First of all, it was always my thinking that through small ensembles teaching balance, blend, articulations and dynamics can possibly be more effective in a small ensemble and eventually evolve from this setting into the overall concert band setting. Secondly, to teach form of the musical composition, in this case, an early version of the fugue. Last of all, to expose students as a pertinent example of where and when the music was composed and to what order of circumstances it was created.

String Orchestra - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1420329 By Isaac Watts. By George Frideric Handel. Arranged by Travis Patton. Chamber,Christian,Contemporary,Instructional,Religious. 15 pages. Travis Patton #1001797. Published by Travis Patton (A0.1420329). Joy to the World arranged for string orchestra or string quartet. This somber setting of this typical joyous hymn reflects moments in life when pain, sorrow, or remorse overtake one’s ability to sing “Joy to the Worldâ€. Sometimes, we must sing this lyric despite our current circumstances in hopes of what is to come. Musically, there are plenty of opportunities to work on melodic playing and bow technique through phrasing and dynamic swells. A hemiola is prominent in the last half of the piece between lower strings and middle voices. After some harmonic tension, an accelerando, and a release, the melody peacefully resolves. Arranged by Travis Patton. Find more at www.travispatton.comLive performance by Belmont University String Chamber Orchestra.

String Ensemble Cello,Viola,Violin - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1111378 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Chamber,Christian,Classical,Instructional,Religious. 28 pages. Regis Bookshar #713665. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.1111378). Recordare (from Requiem (K. 626) - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart/Franz Xaver Sussmayr - String Sextet - Advanced/Intermediate - Digital Download. Hauntingly beautiful is how the Recordare from Mozart's Requiem is often described. Originally written for an orchestra and four vocal soloists, it has now been transcribed by Regis Bookshar for a String Sextet, consisting of 3 Violins, 1 Viola and 2 Violoncellos, and would be a wonderful addition to any music library. This arrangement will provide students with the opportunity to play this beautiful composition, something which they may not have had the opportunity to do, otherwise. This selection could be performed for concerts, recitals and church services and is suitable for high school and college students but professional musicians would also enjoy playing this arrangement. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (28 pages). The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble has performed the Trumpet Quintet version of the Recordare for funerals, providing beautiful, introspective music for the occasion. There is some controversy surrounding the circumstances of the Requiem's composition because Mozart died before he could complete it. Count Franz von Walsegg had commissioned a Requiem Mass but Mozart had received only half of the payment in advance. So, upon his death on December 5th, 1791, his widow, Constanze, wished to have the work completed secretly by someone else and submit it to the count as having been completed by Mozart to collect the final payment. Joseph von Eybler was one of the first composers to be asked to complete the score and had worked on a number of movements but felt unable to complete the remainder and gave the manuscript back to Constanze Mozart. The task was then given to another composer, Franz Xaver Sussmayr. Sussmayr borrowed some of Eybler's work in making his completion, added his own orchestration to other movements and added several new movements which a Requiem Mass would normally comprise. He then added a final section by adapting the opening two movements which Mozart had written to the different words which finish the Requiem Mass, which according to both Sussmayr and Mozart's wife, was done according to Mozart's directions. The completed score, initially by Mozart but largely finished by Sussmayr, was then dispatched to Count Walsegg complete with a counterfeited signature of Mozart dated 1792. Despite the controversy over how much of the music is actually Mozart's, the commonly performed Sussmayr version has become widely accepted by the public, and is considered one of Mozart's finest compositions. The Recordare is considered by many people to be one of the most beautiful compositions in Mozart's entire catalogue. Regis Bookshar, a trumpet player, has performed the Requiem in concert with a full orchestra, soloists and a chorus and felt that other musicians should have the opportunity to play the hauntingly beautiful Recordare as well. So, in addition to this arrangement for a String Sextet, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this beautiful composition. There are Quintets, Sextets, Septets and Octets readily available for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles. Please take the time to look for other versions of this composition. You may fine something else which may also suit your needs. I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are being added as often as possible. I'm certain that this beautiful arrangement of Mozart's Recordare, will continue to entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.

String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1498820 Composed by Traditional. Arranged by James M. Guthrie. Chamber,Christian,Christmas,Historic,Traditional. 12 pages. Jmsgu3 #1074992. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1498820). Infant Holy, Infant Lowly is an important Christmas carol with several notable aspects: Origins and History. This carol originated as a Polish Christmas hymn from the 16th century called W ??obie Le?y. It is believed to have been written by Piotr Pow?ski, a Polish Jesuit priest and preacher born in 1532. Edith Margaret Gellibrand Reed, who discovered it in a Polish hymnal published in 1908, later translated it into English in 1920.Musical CharacteristicsThe carol exemplifies some typical features of Polish religious songs: Strophic formMonophonic melodyAsymmetrical time signaturesAmbiguous modality that shifts between major, minor, and modal qualitiesThese musical elements give the carol a distinctive Polish flavor while still accessible to English-speaking audiences. Lyrical ContentThe lyrics poetically describe the nativity scene, contrasting Christ's humble birth circumstances with his divine nature: First Verse:Infant holy, infant lowly, for his bed a cattle stall;Oxen lowing, little knowing Christ the babe is Lord of all. This verse emphasizes the paradox of the incarnation - the Lord of all creation born in a lowly stable.Cultural SignificanceAs one of the few Polish carols widely known in English, Infant Holy, Infant Lowly is an essential cultural bridge. It introduces English-speaking audiences to the rich tradition of Polish Christmas music, known as kol?dy. The carol's popularity helps preserve and share an aspect of Polish Christmas traditions internationally. In summary, Infant Holy, Infant Lowly is important for its historical origins, distinctive musical qualities, poetic lyrics, and role in sharing Polish Christmas culture with a broader audience.

SATB chorus & piano - Grade 3 - Digital Download SKU: IZ.VMW171 Composed by Angela Salvaggione. Score. 11 pages. Imagine Music - Digital #VMW171. Published by Imagine Music - Digital (IZ.VMW171). 8.5 x 11 in inches.Musically, the text gives indication as to the style of each verse. The first verse's gentle, flowing feel is the comfort of knowing we've been walking a path together. The second verse, a bit stronger, with the full choir entering, builds this comfort and joy of common experience. The third verse, with its darker text, should also have a more misterioso feel, but don't let it drag. Our parting is approaching. The fourth verse should have a lighter, more sparkling feel, with streams and snowflakes and growing understanding that though what may seem final is not, merely a new way of being. The resoluteness of the fifth verse reflects the strength of knowing that the path we have shared together regardless of our proximity, and gives us strength and joy in knowing that our lives are bettered by our shared experiences. The coda, beginning in measure 95, brings us back to a more settled feel, as we are comforted by the memory of those shared experiences. By the final bars, we arrive at a restful state, comfortable knowing that though time has passed and circumstances have changed, we have been blessed by what we've experienced together.

Published by Imagine Music - Digital (IZ.BCMW163). 9 x 12 in inches.Music for Springtime was inspired in part by Samuel Barber's woodwind quintet Summer Music, a staple of therepertoire written in 1956. Music for Springtime is a not an homage to Barber's work but does reflect and touch uponsome of the moods and character changes heard in Summer Music. Music for Springtime was also shaped by thecircumstances and timing of its composition: I wrote it in the year after I moved from California back to my nativePennsylvania, shortly after the birth of my daughter, and mostly in the springtime. Thoughts of rebirth andrejuvenation, but also of the uncertainty of transition, were undoubtedly present while I wrote.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.837496 Composed by Martin Rinkart. Arranged by Brett L. Wery. Holiday,Praise & Worship,Sacred. Octavo. 44 pages. Sonata Grendel Publishing #5753937. Published by Sonata Grendel Publishing (A0.837496). SET B Conductor’s Score,Trumpet 1, Trumpet 2, Horn in F, Trombone, Tuba, Timpani, SATB Choir/Organ Now Thank We All Our God was originally written ca. 1636 by Protestant minister, Martin Rinkart. The melody is attributed to Lutheran Hymnist, Johann Crüger and was used in three J.S. Bach chorales but the most common version we hear today was harmonized by Felix Mendelssohn in 1840. Martin Rinkart was a deacon in Eisleben Germany where he served during the Thirty Years’ War. The city of Eisleben and Rinkart’s own home became a sanctuary for political refugees during the war. The resulting overcrowding in the walled city resulted in a horrible plague which hit its peak in 1637. Rinkart was the only surviving pastor in the city and before the plague was over he would preside over 4000 funerals include that of his own wife. Despite this, it was during this time that he wrote Now thank we all our God. This new setting of Now Thank We All Our God draws on Rinkart’s fierce spirit of optimism and faith in a time of desolation and despair. To paint the picture of the circumstances in which Rinkart wrote the hymn, this setting opens with the text from Psalm 13: How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever? The setting turns quickly, in an act of disruptive optimism and faith, to a lopsided dance of joy. In the end, the setting returns to the opening question  of Psalm 13, How long? only to be answered by Rinkart’s declaration, Gifts of love today!
