Violin Duet Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1354186 Composed by Stamitz. Arranged by James M. Guthrie. Chamber,Classical,Contest,Festival,Traditional,Wedding. 19 pages. Jmsgu3 #938888. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.1354186). The significance of Stamitz Duets Op. 27 lies in their contribution to the duet repertoire for two violins (or two flutes). Composed by Carl Stamitz, a prominent figure of this era, the duets were published in 1780. These duets are well-regarded for their musicality and are popular choices for duet performances and educational purposes. They are available in sheet music and have been performed in concerts and recordings, reflecting their enduring appeal and importance in the classical music domain. The duets are known for their melodic and expressive qualities, making them valuable for developing ensemble playing and musical interpretation skills. They are also appreciated for their historical significance in the context of classical music composition and the repertoire for violin or flute duets. Carl Stamitz, born in 1745 and passing away in 1801, was a significant figure in music history, particularly in the classical period. He was one of the most prolific Mannheim orchestral composers, known for writing numerous symphonies, concertos for various instruments, and other instrumental works. Stamitz's influence on the evolution of the Classical sonata form by introducing contrasting themes within a single movement is also noteworthy. He was a prominent representative of the second generation of the Mannheim School, and his contributions to the duet repertoire for two violins or two flutes are highly regarded for their musicality and historical significance. Despite not being as widely recognized as some of his contemporaries, his work has left a lasting impact on the classical music domain.Carl Stamitz significantly contributed to the Mannheim School of Music as the most prominent representative of its second generation. He was the eldest son of Johann Stamitz, a violinist and composer considered the Mannheim School's founder. Carl Stamitz's contribution to the school included his role as a prolific orchestral composer, writing numerous symphonies, concertos for various instruments, and other instrumental works. His work, along with that of other members of the Mannheim School, helped solidify the Classical symphony and its dynamic contrasts, impacting the evolution of the classical music period. Additionally, Carl Stamitz's choice of the viola as his favorite instrument and his compositions for the viola also contributed to the school's legacy.

Trumpet Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1018953 Composed by Benjamin Harry Sajo. 20th Century,Contemporary. Individual part. 1 pages. Benjamin Sajo #6078693. Published by Benjamin Sajo (A0.1018953). Programme Notes: This composition was written to be considered for pairing alongside Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony #3, the Eroica, but can stand on its own virtues as an intense and slow meditation on heroism. The music is like a boiling pot on the stove that’s just began to overflow its bubbles. The first part of the title, kommos, is a Classical Greek term from Attic dramaturgy, literally meaning striking but specifically referring to beating oneself up during lamentation--ripping at the hair, gouging out the eyes--like Oedipus--slapping the forehead, and other acts amid moments of extreme emotional turmoil. For example, from Aeschylus's play Agamemnon, a character bewails: Apollo, Apollo! God of the Ways, my destroyer! For you have destroyed me-and utterly [...]What is this fresh woe [...]what monstrous, monstrous horror, beyond love's enduring, beyond all remedy? And help stands far away! We can easily imagine physical accompaniment to the script; rather than bottling up the pain, the hero lets it all explosively come out.  â€ƒThe second part of the title, When the world moved on, is an epigraph taken from American author Stephen King’s The Dark Tower epic. The primary setting of the novel, a world similar in many ways to our own, is experiencing a dark age where the glorious past is all but a distant memory and all good things are referred to wistfully as occurring, When the world moved on. Yet, the main protagonist, Roland, the last gunslinger, emphasizes that it is not just a figure of speech, but the literal distances between destinations have increased, the positions of the stars have changed, as well as the occurrence of other unnatural phenomena. The world has become a gulf of isolation from all corners. Taken together, this piece is a lamentation for when the world moved on. Truly completed on Yom Kippur during the Covid-19 Pandemic, being unable to fast or go to synagogue, this is my atonement.About the Composer: Benjamin Sajo (b. 1988) is a Canadian composer of contemporary classical music, as well as an educator. Since developing a fiercely independent creative voice upon the completion of his studies at Western (2010) and McGill Universities (2013), he continues to find inspiration from the intersection of mythology, art, and nature upon the contemporary human experience. In 2019, he released his premiere album of original music, The Great War Sextet: Canadian War Poetry with Trombone & Strings, with support from the Ontario Arts Council. He is a member of SOCAN and the League of Canadian Composers.

String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1106149 Composed by Robert Schumann. Arranged by Steven Nunes. Classical,Opera,Romantic Period,Wedding. Score and parts. 12 pages. Nagamon Publications #709264. Published by Nagamon Publications (A0.1106149). This is the fourth song from Schumann's cycle Frauenliebe und leben, Op. 42. It is a lovely setting in which the singer expresses their content at receiving their partner's ring on their finger with the promise of marriage, and I made this arrangement for my friend to sing at their wedding. This is an arrangement for voice and string quartet in the original key of E-flat major. Robert Schumann was a German composer and influential music critic. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest composers of the Romantic era. Schumann left the study of law, intending to pursue a career as a virtuoso pianist. He had been assured by his teacher Friedrich Wieck that he could become the finest pianist in Europe, but a hand injury ended this dream. Schumann then focused his musical energies on composing.

Woodwind Ensemble Bassoon,Clarinet,Flute,Horn,Oboe - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1112154 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by Regis Bookshar. Chamber,Christian,Classical,Instructional,Religious. 41 pages. Regis Bookshar #714340. Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.1112154). Recordare (from Requiem (K. 626) - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart/Franz Xaver Sussmayr - Woodwind Septet - Advanced/Intermediate - Digital Download. Hauntingly beautiful is how the Recordare from Mozart's Requiem is often described. Originally written for an orchestra and four vocal soloists, it has now been transcribed by Regis Bookshar for a Woodwind Septet, consisting of 1 Flute, 1 Oboe, 3 Bb Clarinets, 1 French Horn and 1 Bassoon, and would be a wonderful addition to any music library. This arrangement will provide students with the opportunity to practice breath control because of its long, sustained phrases, and also to give them the chance to play this beautiful composition, something which they may not have had the opportunity to do, otherwise. This selection could be performed for concerts, recitals and church services and is suitable for high school and college students but professional musicians would also enjoy playing this arrangement. Included are a score and a complete set of parts (41 pages). The Regis Bookshar Trumpet Ensemble has performed the Trumpet Quintet version of the Recordare for funerals, providing beautiful, introspective music for the occasion. There is some controversy surrounding the circumstances of the Requiem's composition because Mozart died before he could complete it. Count Franz von Walsegg had commissioned a Requiem Mass but Mozart had received only half of the payment in advance. So, upon his death on December 5th, 1791, his widow, Constanze, wished to have the work completed secretly by someone else and submit it to the count as having been completed by Mozart to collect the final payment. Joseph von Eybler was one of the first composers to be asked to complete the score and had worked on a number of movements but felt unable to complete the remainder and gave the manuscript back to Constanze Mozart. The task was then given to another composer, Franz Xaver Sussmayr. Sussmayr borrowed some of Eybler's work in making his completion, added his own orchestration to other movements and added several new movements which a Requiem Mass would normally comprise. He then added a final section by adapting the opening two movements which Mozart had written to the different words which finish the Requiem Mass, which according to both Sussmayr and Mozart's wife, was done according to Mozart's directions. The completed score, initially by Mozart but largely finished by Sussmayr, was then dispatched to Count Walsegg complete with a counterfeited signature of Mozart dated 1792. Despite the controversy over how much of the music is actually Mozart's, the commonly performed Sussmayr version has become widely accepted by the public, and is considered one of Mozart's finest compositions. The Recordare is considered by many people to be one of the most beautiful compositions in Mozart's entire catalogue. Regis Bookshar, a trumpet player, has performed the Requiem in concert with a full orchestra, soloists and a chorus and felt that other musicians should have the opportunity to play the hauntingly beautiful Recordare as well. So, in addition to this arrangement for a Woodwind Septet, he has made quite a few other arrangements of this beautiful composition. There are Quintets, Sextets, Septets and Octets readily available for a wide variety of instrumental ensembles. Please take the time to look for other versions of this composition. You may fine something else which may also suit your needs. I would also encourage you to search for other arrangements by Regis Bookshar as well, as there are numerous arrangements in a variety of styles, also available for purchase. You may find something else which might interest you. Please continue to check periodically because new arrangements are being added as often as possible. I'm certain that this beautiful arrangement of Mozart's Recordare, will continue to entertain both performers and audiences alike for years to come.

The PRINCE & the FIREBIRD: Baritone, with String Quartet, optional Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Horn, Double Bass.  My version of the Slavic fairy tale which exists in many forms. Ogor, an immortal, evil Czar-wizard, stole children, pretended they were his princes and princesses but controlled and punished them with spells. He sent our hero Prince Ivan to capture the firebird which had been pecking at the Castle's golden apples. He faced many challenges, but he was helped by a wolf who turns out to be Princess Lenka under a spell. When the firebird was captured, it made a deal with Ivan and with its magic helped him deal with the Czar. Ivan, Lenka and the Kingdom are happy ever after.I attempted to create an exotic sound-world by using throughout the Hungarian Gypsy scale.

Brass Ensemble Trombone,Trumpet - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.782215 Composed by William Byrd. Arranged by James Haynor. Praise & Worship,Renaissance,Sacred. Score and parts. 13 pages. James Haynor #3569941. Published by James Haynor (A0.782215). William Byrd (birth date variously given as c.1539/40 or 1543 – 4 July 1623), was an English composer of the Renaissance. He wrote in many of the forms current in England at the time, including various types of sacred and secular polyphony, keyboard (the so-called Virginalist school), and consort music. Although he produced sacred music for Anglican services, sometime during the 1570s he became a Roman Catholic and wrote Catholic sacred music later in his life. Ave Verum Corpus written for four voices is a great example of his work and transcribes well for brass quartet. Scored here for flugelhorns, trumpets may certainly be used. ( Duration 3:30 )

Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1080353). A bold, dramatic, sacred hymn. Music composed by Kevin G. Pace. Text written in the 1500s by Martin Luther. Text: 1 Now praise we Christ, the Holy One, The blessed virgin Mary's Son. From east to west, from shore to shore Let earth its Lord and King adore. 2 He who himself all things did make A servant's form agreed to take, That he as man mankind might win And save his creatures from their sin. 3 The grace and pow'r of God the Lord Upon the mother was outpoured; A virgin pure and undefiled In wondrous way conceived a child. 4 The noble mother bore a Son -- For so did Gabriel's promise run -- Whom John confessed and leaped with joy Before the mother knew her boy. 5 Upon a manger filled with hay In poverty content he lay; With milk was fed the Lord of all, Who feeds the ravens when they call. 6 The heav'nly choirs rejoice and raise Their voice to God in songs of praise. To humble shepherds is proclaimed The Shepherd who the world has framed. 7 All honor unto Christ the Lord, Eternal and incarnate Word, With Father and with Holy Ghost, Till time in endless time be lost.

In the summer of 2009, Walt Disney Records approached Wilson about recording his own arrangements of songs from Disney films; however, Wilson first wanted to record an album of Gershwin covers, which the label agreed to support. He and band member Paul Mertens picked the songs to record based on Wilson's vocal range, and which ones he thought he could sing appropriately. In addition to the covers, the Gershwin estate granted Wilson access to over 100 unfinished Gershwin songs and fragments for the project to use for new material. Two songs were completed by Wilson and Scott Bennett (who provided lyrics) mainly based on two fragments: Will You Remember Me, which was originally written in 1924 for the musical Lady, Be Good, was completed as The Like in I Love You, while Say My Say, which was unfinished by the Gershwin brothers in 1929, was completed as Nothing But Love.

Sheet Music To Play Editions #778579. Published by Sheet Music To Play Editions (A0.1178616). Caro Mio Ben (Come Once Again) by Giuseppe Giordani. Arrangement for Violoncello Duet. With Full Score and Individual Parts. Enjoy it!Giuseppe Tommaso Giovanni Giordani (1751 - 1798) was an Italian composer, mainly of opera. Giordani's parents were Domenico Giordani and Anna Maria Tosato. He studied music in Naples with Domenico Cimarosa and Niccolò Antonio Zingarelli. In 1774 he was appointed as music director of the chapel of the Duomo of Naples. His first opera (L'Epponina) was released in 1779. His sacred drama La distruzione di Gerusalemme was a notable success at the Teatro San Carlo of Naples in 1787. He became maestro di cappella at the Cathedral of Fermo in 1791. Until recently, the popular aria Caro Mio Ben (1783) was ascribed to Giuseppe Tommaso Giovanni Giordani. However, scholars now consider Tommaso Giordani, or his father Giuseppe Giordani senior, more likely to be the aria's composer. For Tutorials, Play Alongs or request New Arrangements, visit the YouTube Channel: Sheet Music To Play

Score and parts. 13 pages. Arte Nova Music Lab #5298831. Published by Arte Nova Music Lab (A0.742494). Across the Universe is a song by the English rock band the Beatles. It was written by John Lennon and credited to Lennon–McCartney. The song first appeared on the 1969 various artists' charity compilation album No One's Gonna Change Our World and later, in a different form, on their 1970 album Let It Be, the group's final released album. One night in 1967, the phrase words are flowing out like endless rain into a paper cup came to Lennon after hearing his then-wife Cynthia, according to Lennon, going on and on about something. Later, after she'd gone to sleep – and I kept hearing these words over and over, flowing like an endless stream, Lennon went downstairs and turned it into a song. He began to write the rest of the lyrics and when he was done, he went to bed and forgot about them.

Published by Regis Bookshar (A0.1432495). Sing Joyfully - William Byrd - Euphonium Sextet (Treble Clef) - Advanced/Intermediate - Digital Download.William Byrd was the greatest British composer of the late Renaissance, and just maybe, the greatest British composer ever. He wrote a huge body of choral music, some of it profound and timeless, He also composed brilliant, virtuoso pieces and his motet-like anthem, Sing Joyfully, a polyphonic setting of Psalm 81, written in 1590, is perhaps his best-known one. It is enchanting to listen to and is fun to sing. Regis Bookshar thought that instrumental performers should have the same opportunity that singers have experienced for years so he has now transcribed, edited and arranged this wonderful selecion for a Euphonium Sextet, playing in Treble Clef. There is also a version written in Bass Clef, if you would prefer.Since no tempo is indicated and the are no written dynamic or phrase markings in Wiliam Byrd's original score, Regis Bookshar has taken the liberty to add them in order to provide direction and life to the piece.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1372287 By Sharon Wilson. By Traditional. Arranged by Sharon Wilson. Christian,Easter,Lent,Sacred,Traditional. Score. 5 pages. Sharon Wilson #956574. Published by Sharon Wilson (A0.1372287). Here is the deeply moving hymn Stricken, Smitten, and Afflicted arranged as an intermediate piano solo. The title was inspired by the words of Isaiah (53:4) -- Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. This arrangement is very solemn throughout matching the powerful lyrics (see below) about the death of Christ and how our hope is built on him. If the song is presented during a church service, having the words read before (or projected on a screen) might be beneficial and then an excellent follow-up would be to play My Hope Is Built on Nothing Less or Christ the Lord Is Risen Today.Visit Sharon Wilson's website: https://www.SharonWilsonMusic.com/Subscribe to her YouTube Channel: https://youtube.com/@SharonWilsonMusicLyrics by Thomas KellyVerse 1Stricken, smitten, and afflicted, See Him dying on the tree! This is Christ by man rejected; Here, my soul, your Savior see. He's the long-expected Prophet, David's Son, yet David's Lord;Proofs I see sufficient of it:He's the true and faithful Word.Verse 2Tell me, ye who hear Him groaning, was there ever grief like His?Friends thro' fear His cause disowning, foes insulting his distress;many hands were raised to wound Him, none would intervene to save;but the deepest stroke that pierced Him was the stroke that justice gave.Verse 3 You who think of sin but lightly nor suppose the evil greathere may view its nature rightly, here its guilt may estimate.Mark the sacrifice appointed, see who bears the awful load; It's the Word, the Lord's Anointed, Son of Man and Son of God.Verse 4Here we have a firm foundation; here the refuge of the lost;Christ, the Rock of our salvation, His the Name of which we boast.Lamb of God, for sinners wounded, sacrifice to cancel guilt!None shall ever be confounded who on him their hope have built.
