Choral Choir,Choral (TB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1346349 Composed by Robert Schumann. Arranged by D. Jason Bishop. 19th Century,Classical,Instructional,Romantic Period,Wedding. 9 pages. Tully Road Music #931172. Published by Tully Road Music (A0.1346349). Robert Schumann’s song cycle Myrthen was a wedding present to his wife Clara Wieck. Myrthen, or “myrtles,†were the flowers traditionally associated with a marriage celebration. Schumann completed the Myrthen cycle in 1840, totaling 26 Lieder (songs for solo voice and piano), with texts by prominent 19th-century German poets such as Heinrich Heine, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, and others. “Widmung,†which means “Dedication,†is the first song in the cycle, based on a love poem by Friedrich Rückert (1788-1866). The frequent repetition of the word “you†in the text, along with the soaring melody and undulating arpeggios that comprise the music, all serve to convey the composer’s state of blissful fulfillment as he contemplates marrying his beloved. This arrangement preserves Schumann’s original piano part as well as places the melody prominently in the top tenor voice. The lower voices provide supporting harmonies informed by the accompaniment, moving largely in parallel motion, but with their own counter-melodic value. It was premiered by the Young People’s Chorus of Erie Young Men’s Ensemble at the 2012 World Choir Games. The arrangement is also available in a version for SSA voices.

Guitar - Advanced - Digital Download SKU: ZZ.DZ-4308 Composed by Giorgio Mirto. Score. 24 pages. Les Productions d'OZ - Digital #DZ 4308. Published by Les Productions d'OZ - Digital (ZZ.DZ-4308). Following a recent experience on the jury of a guitar competition, I noted with great pleasure that Giorgio Mirto, with whom I had shared the role of juror, wanted to celebrate the experience of the competition - during from which we discovered that we had had a great affinity of thought - with something which could endure over time and not evaporate as often happens in short and occasional meetings between musicians. He did it as a true composer, which he is, and dedicated to me a very beautifully crafted Suite to which I allowed myself to collaborate at least formally, by suggesting titles for the four movements. This is how Suite n.1 was born, a piece that does not strictly respect the formal rules of the Baroque era, but reinterprets and reuses them in a new key. The work's obvious late Baroque inspiration led me to find titles that invited the performer to delve deeper into the work's aesthetic inspiration. So I suggested to Giorgio that he title the four movements with something that linked their content to four greats of the 18th century. German masters. The prelude has thus become from Eisenach because of its sometimes improvised Bach-like atmosphere, the second movement, vaguely toccata, speaks an organ language in the manner of Buxtehude (who lived in Lübeck), the slow movement has a Handelian quality - and Handel was born in Halle - and the last movement, far from being a true Chaconne, undoubtedly has the latter's taste for variation and ostinato, typical traits of Telemann who lived in Magdeburg. The cities that appear in the titles are therefore indelible to the authors cited. Furthermore, one should not think that the style of the work is in any way German, given that Giorgio Mirto expresses himself in a very joyful language that synthesizes modality with minimalism, all seasoned with a a nod to Pink's progressive rock Floyd. or a Mike Oldfield... The result of this mixture of ideas, inspirations and styles is a work that personally I never tire of reading and rereading, for the freshness that emanates from it and for the climate expressive which rises, nourishing itself with full efficiency. We ultimately cannot ignore that the note B, the one which marks in a minor way some of the most expressive works of the guitar repertoire, from the study of Sor which made generations of students fall in love with the guitar, until to that of Frank Martin's Four Pieces via La Catedral di Barrios, is the modal fulcrum of the entire Suite: it is true that the Prelude begins with a clear chord in E minor and lingers on an open ending in A minor , but it almost seems that the initial E serves as a launching pad for a continuation of the work in which the dominant, that is to say the B, is the true musical North, the pole star which guides us in the other three movements until the end of the Chaconne de Magdebourg. I wish Giorgio and our Suite great longevity and a favorable destiny in the complex and complex world of contemporary guitar composition.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1273068 By Public Domain. By Public Domain. Arranged by Noemi Bretas. Country,Folk,Historic,Pop,Traditional. Octavo. 15 pages. Marcelo Borba #865257. Published by Marcelo Borba (A0.1273068). Arrangement for 4 voices choir. Shosholoza is a popular South African folk song that has a rich history and cultural significance. The origins of the song can be traced back to the late 1800s and early 1900s, during the time of the South African gold and diamond mining boom. The word Shosholoza is believed to have been derived from the Ndebele and Zulu languages and translates roughly to go forward or make way for the next person. It was initially a call used by train drivers and mine workers to synchronize their movements while pushing and pulling railway cars or working in the mines. The song's lyrics and melody evolved over time through oral tradition, passed down among the workers as a form of communication, motivation, and solidarity. The rhythm and repetitive chanting helped the workers maintain a sense of unity and cooperation during physically demanding and often harsh conditions.During the era of racial segregation and oppression in South Africa, Shosholoza became an anthem of resilience and hope for the black South African population. It symbolized their spirit of endurance and unity in the face of adversity, and it came to be associated with the struggle against apartheid. With time, Shosholoza gained popularity beyond the confines of the mines and railway yards. It became a well-known folk song, performed by choirs, musicians, and cultural groups across South Africa and around the world. It embodies the spirit of ubuntu (the belief in the interconnectedness of all humanity) and has been used as a symbol of South African identity and pride. In modern times, Shosholoza continues to be celebrated as a cherished piece of South African musical heritage. It is often performed during sporting events, cultural festivals, and gatherings as a way to celebrate unity, strength, and resilience.Overall, Shosholoza remains a powerful reminder of South Africa's history, the struggles its people endured, and the enduring spirit of hope and solidarity that transcends adversity.

Choral Choir (SATB) - Digital Download SKU: A0.828727 Composed by Cipriano de Rore. Arranged by Guido Menestrina. Renaissance,Sacred. Octavo. 4 pages. Guido Menestrina #1769001. Published by Guido Menestrina (A0.828727). Cipriano de Rore (occasionally Cypriano) (1515 or 1516 – between 11 and 20 September 1565) was a Franco-Flemish composer of the Renaissance, active in Italy. Not only was he a central representative of the generation of Franco-Flemish composers after Josquin des Prez who went to live and work in Italy, but he was one of the most prominent composers of madrigals in the middle of the 16th century. His experimental, chromatic, and highly expressive style had a decisive influence on the subsequent development of that secular music form. Stephen R Dalrymple #4994299. Published by Stephen R Dalrymple (A0.818294). Tropical Dance 2 by Justin Elie (Classical Music for Tablet Series) ♫ Justin Elie 1883-1931 was one of the few Haitian composers whose works were published outside Haiti and enjoyed an international reputation for his works. He received his early education in Haiti, studying with pianist Ermine Faubert from 1889 to 1894 and enrolling briefly at the prestigious institution de Saint Louis de Gonzague in Port-au-Prince. ♫ In 1895, at the age of 12 he traveled to France and enrolled at the Cours Masset, a preparatory school for the Paris Conservatory. In 1901 at the age of 17 he entered the Paris Conservatoire. Elie returned to Haiti in 1905. ♫ He undertook a concert tour in 1909 and 1910, featuring works by European composers, and visited Jamaica, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, Curaçao, Venezuela, and Cuba. Elie's concerts were especially well received in Jamaica. Justin Elie enjoyed the most prominent international reputation of all the Haitian composers. ♫ Justin Elie drew on Native American music for his creative inspiration. Elie wrote several pieces that used Native American (Haitian, and Central and South American) musical motifs and descriptive programs that put these native cultures at the center of Haitian musical life. Unlike Lamothe, whose audience was primarily drawn from Haiti, Elie developed his career in the United States. ♫ Eager to make a career of music composition, Justin Elie emigrated to the US in 1922 moving to New York City. His wife, Lily, joined him in New York in 1923 and the two of them performed frequently in recitals that included Elie's compositions. (based on http://chevalierdesaintgeorges.homestead.com/Elie.html) ♫ The Classical Music for Tablet Series offers piano masterworks by classical composers formatted to be read on 10 inch tablets. I use an Amazon Kindle with Mobile Sheets Pro and an Air Turn blue tooth foot pedal to practice and perform piano music. Similar products available to provide other tablets the same functionality. ♫ The pieces in this series have not been arranged, but most have been edited slightly, and have been formatted to fit screen size. For example, in the tablet versions, first and second endings are often removed and the repeated measures and endings written into the music so the performer can avoid having to go back to previous pages. These kinds of section repeats were invented to spare the composer’s time and the cost of extra paper and ink. But with a tablet the cost of paper and ink is irrelevant. ♫ Although there are a lot more page turns with a 10 inch screen compared with letter size pages, the readability of the music (due to the backlighting on the tablet) and the portability of the music (travelling with a small tablet instead of oversized books or portfolios of sheet music) easily makes up for the extra page turns. ♫ Your purchase provides one .pdf file that contains both the tablet edition and the letter size page (printable) version. There are several programs available online that will allow you to separate this .pdf file into 2 .pdf files to make it more useful.

Harmonica - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1359203 By Duane Eddy. By Jimmie Davis. Arranged by songbooks.info. 20th Century,Broadway,Country,Film/TV,Musical/Show. Score. 4 pages. Songbooks.info #943661. Published by songbooks.info (A0.1359203). You Are My Sunshine is an Old-Time Music country song from 1939 that became an Evergreen. The authorship of the song is disputed; Paul Rice probably wrote it in 1937. Jimmie Davis acquired the rights to the song, so he is still listed as the lyricist and Charles Mitchell as the composer. The success of the song took some time to come; Ray Charles achieved its best placement in 1962 with seventh place in the US pop charts. Other prominent performers are Doris Day, Nat King Cole, Mitch Ryder, Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee Lewis. Also in the TV series Star Trek Voyager and in films such as O Brother, Where Art Thou? or Annabelle 2 the song can be heard. The song was adapted for the Chromatic Harmonica and provided with symbols for the channel number, blow/draw and the slider. These symbols are briefly explained in the appendix. The classic musical notation and/or the lyrics help to develop the song, so that even those unfamiliar with music notes can learn to play the song with this arrangement. The sound of a Vibraphone was used in the setting, so the sound does not mix with the sound of your own instrument. The melody is backed by a metronome and quietly by an organ.
