Chosen Child from on high, there will be sweet lullabies Silencing each human cry. Hush, sweet Baby, hush. Hush, sweet Baby now adorned, wrapped in swaddling bands so warm. Love was born this Christmas morn. Hush, sweet Baby, hush. Now earth's Savior will be known: There will come a time to show Heav'nly power so blessings flow. Hush, sweet Baby, hush. Hush, 'til Thou saves from the Fall. Love will imprint on thy palms, Grace displaying healing balm. Hush, sweet Baby, hush. 'Til then sleep the night away, waiting for a brand-new day. Close your eyes now while you may. Hush, sweet Baby, sleep. Hush, hush oh Baby sweet. Sleep, sleep tonight. Jesus, our dear Savior lives, will His saving light.

Instrumental Duet Flute,Guitar,Instrumental Duet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.576886 Composed by David Warin Solomons. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score and parts. 8 pages. David Warin Solomons #485665. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.576886). Instrumental duo based on my setting of Dave Dunning's poem To Idleness. The pdf file contains score and parts. The sound sample is an electronic preview. These are the words of the original poem: When autumn harvests are full grown and luscious fruits to me are shown, piled plump and rich till stomachs groan when autumn harvests are full grown ripe juices puddle on the tongue, and winter I forget in gurgling song. once when the fresh new spring was here I lavished though to sow the year oh dreaming seasons never interfere with worldly bounty, scorned the prudent song and prayed March winds to buffet time along Soon in the heat of summer haze I floundered on through deep green maize, where heavy herds lowed as they grazed, I saw that I would reap in thought among the rich; and time moved on with busy song, now in the heat of summer Now winter creeps between the sashes and rain upon the window lashes while wild wind moans round rafters dashes and I to annual poverty belong, yet know that spring flows richly on in song When autumn harvests are full grown and luscious fruits to me are shown, piled plump and rich till stomachs groan when autumn harvests are full grown ripe juices puddle on the tongue, and winter I forget in gurgling song.

Kevin G. Pace #917864. Published by Kevin G. Pace (A0.1329875). A magnificently beautiful choral composition.  Music composed by Kevin G. Pace. Text by Mary Ann W. Snowball.Text: Remember Compassion“ . . . wherefore, I will have compassion upon you.†(Doctrine and Covenants 64:2)Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed,My lasting compassion will I always prove.Unlike sheep without shepherds who lose track on their way,My voice will be heard whenever you pray.Chorus:Remember compassion; remember I’m here.I will be near you; oh, please do not fear!Remember compassion when others you see.Proffer as I would, then come unto Me.When all evil is tempting and the sun bears its heat,My springs of cool water will be at your feet.I will comfort my people through my cov’nant of care,Through hunger or thirst, my cup’s never bare.Through each trouble and heartache; through each burden so great,Through each lone transgression will I share the weight.I will ease all your suff’ring as you search for my face.My presence is near; I’ll give you my grace.

Noel Noel Noel bells ring out with joy!  No wraps No festooned curtains spread to shield the child from frost  nothing but flimsy spider webs trail from the beams aloft.  He shivers in that cold stable this Jesus child so dear,  and so to warm him in the cradle, the ass and ox draw near.  The snow hangs down in lacy fringe.  But far above the heavens swell reveal the angel choir that sings to men Noel Noel The pdf contains score and parts. Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1262362 Composed by Sally Whitwell. 21st Century,Contemporary. Octavo. 17 pages. Sally Whitwell #855402. Published by Sally Whitwell (A0.1262362). On the morning of 2 March 2020, I finished writing the first draft of this song. It was the same morning that the New South Wales Rural Fire Service announced that for the first time since July 2019, the state was free of active bush and grass fires. At the time it felt quite euphoric. We’d been through a lot. Little did we know what was coming just a few days from then, when the Covid19 global pandemic reached our shores. It’s a virus that would kill millions across the world, and disable millions more, long term. It forced us, globally, into a kind of reckoning the like of which we had never experienced before. Non pharmaceutical controls like lockdowns, mask mandates, social distancing and ventilation standards were employed to keep us safe from this airborne virus, whilst scientists worked round clock to develop vaccines and treatments.Technically, the declaration of a pandemic is still active, but governments and people have somehow decided for themselves that it is all over. No one takes any precautions any more. Governments have stopped reporting statistics. People who know they are infected are going about their business with no thought for others. Meanwhile, many of the immune-compromised, the disabled, the vulnerable, are unable to safely leave their homes and engage in activities out in the world. I know this, because I am a carer for a vulnerable person. What this whole exercise has taught me is that people in the world are actually much less kind than I thought they were. Humans do not really care for each other. People attack me for wearing a mask, tell me that I’m virtue signalling and that I look ridiculous (as if I care how I look). I’ve asked questions about workplace Covid safety and been informed that it’s “a bit rich†that I’m asking at all, when everything is now safe. A friend’s diagnosed Long Covid symptoms were cruelly minimised or completely dismissed “Oh, it’s not Covid. How old are you? In your forties? It’s your hormones, it’s the menopause.†The fatal combination of sheer selfishness, rampant misinformation and DISinformation continues, whilst people waltz around spreading a deadly virus with no thought for the grief that will undoubtedly ensue. It boils down to this: if we want to continue as a species and to have a planet on which to reside, we have to stop with the Self Care and start with the Community Care. A choir is the perfect instrument for expressing these notions, through the unique power of the massed first person plural. My wish for this piece is that it spurs performer and listener alike into some kind of action. Please consider the effect your actions have on others, and on the planet, and make any changes necessary, however inconvenient or difficult they are. Otherwise, there’s really no point.Sally Whitwell 11 July 2023.
