Concert Band - Digital Download SKU: A0.733029 Composed by Gaetano Donizetti. Arranged by Marc Oliver. Baroque. Score and parts. 43 pages. Ayotte Custom Musical Engravings #2347287. Published by Ayotte Custom Musical Engravings (A0.733029). Chi Me Frena in Tal Momento, also known as the Sextette from Lucia di Lammermoor, is one of the most colorful and memorable moments in opera. Operatic music was an important part of the band repertoire at the turn of the 20th century. Lucia di Lammermoor is a tragic opera in three acts by Gaetano Donizetti. The libretto was loosely based upon Sir Walter Scott's historical novel The Bride of Lammermoor. The story concerns the emotionally fragile Lucy Ashton (Lucia) who is caught in a feud between her own family and that of the Ravenswoods. The setting is the Lammermuir Hills of Scotland (Lammermoor) in the 17th Century..

Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1033403 Composed by Adam Geibel, Evan Stephens, Grace Gordon, and Will L. Thompson. Arranged by Stacey Oakes. Christian,Gospel,Sacred,Spiritual. Octavo. 12 pages. Stacey Oakes at Whiting Publishing #3878753. Published by Stacey Oakes at Whiting Publishing (A0.1033403). Good for Missionary or Youth Musical Numbers - Soprano/Tenor or Men/Women Choirs This medley was written upon request for a missionary's send-off! It's great for: - Church Services - Missionary Farewells and Homecomings - Firesides - Youth Choirs - Adult Choirs - Soprano and Tenor Duet Purpose/Message: The medley's purpose is to invigorate us and to encourage us to be brave in sharing truth. It emphasizes the concepts of pressing on, having courage, and not fearing. Difficulty: Medium (There are some independent singing sections, some notes at the top of the soprano and tenor range, and a couple spots with less typical harmonies. It is, however, not a difficult piece overall. Those who are accustomed to singing in choirs will have no trouble but will be challenged enough to enjoy the piece.) Range: The notes are within range for a somewhat experienced or serious singer. If using in a choir, you can have the higher notes sung one octave lower by those out of range, or add a harmonic note as needed. There are only a couple of instances where this might be needed. Solutions to Problems: If you have youth afraid to go on missions, this song will help them take courage and be brave. If you have adults who are faltering from fear (as all do on occasion), it is hoped this song will bolster their courage and resolve.   Duration of Work: This medley is approximately 4:12 minutes long. Performing Rights Organization: The composer is a member of BMI. Contact Information: You can contact the composer through MyMusicStash.blogspot.com. Some of her works are also posted on Instagram @LDSSheetMusic Called to Serve: Grace Gordon, Adam Geibel; Let Us All Press On: Evan Stephens; Put Your Shoulder to the Wheel: Will L. Thompson.

Piano,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.551688 Composed by Felix Bartholdy Mendelssohn. Arranged by James Guthrie, ASCAP. Instructional,Romantic Period,Standards. 77 pages. Jmsgu3 #5336993. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.551688). Mendelssohn's Op. 32, The Fair Melusina Overture is a concert overture inspired by the legend of Melusine, a water sprite who marries a mortal under certain conditions. The overture is not a literal retelling of the story but rather a reflection of its themes and moods. Mendelssohn held this work in high regard, characterized by its dreamy and fluid musical landscape, reflecting the happiness and unhappiness of the two main characters. The piece was initially received politely, but Mendelssohn subsequently revised it, and it remains the least familiar of his series of concert overtures. The overture is known for its harmonic power and is sometimes rendered in English as The Fair Melusine. The legend of the fair Melusina is a tale of a water sprite who marries a mortal man under the condition that he must never see her on a Saturday. However, he eventually breaks his promise, leading to the tragic fate of Melusina. She is often depicted as a mermaid, a serpent from the waist down, or a dragon, and her story is associated with themes of love, trust, and the consequences of betrayal. The legend has inspired various literary and musical works, including Felix Mendelssohn's The Fair Melusina Overture, which reflects the themes and moods of the story. The tale has been revisited and revised over the centuries and continues to captivate audiences with its tragic and romantic elements.

Concert Band - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.983168 Composed by Craig Wadley. 20th Century,Concert,Contemporary,Standards. Score and parts. 16 pages. Wadley Publications #3046241. Published by Wadley Publications (A0.983168). This is a full score in LEGAL SIZE format for Revelation by Craig Wadley, PARTS SOLD SEPARATELY.Revelation was commissioned in 2002 by Dru Davison, then Director of the Brookland High School Band in Brookland, Arkansas.  In 2002, the United States was still reeling from the deadly and devastating terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. In the wake of the tragic loss of life and the shaking of the nation’s sense of security, many people feared what the future might bring.  Revelation begins with a question: Where do we go from here? The piece presents the uncertainty and sense of foreboding felt by so many Americans at that point in history, followed shortly by the only possible response: We must move forward. The music moves toward its climax with new energy, driving onward with a sense of urgency, reflecting the heart and will of a nation determined to rise above tragedy. Soli section for Flute, Clarinet, Alto Sax, and Tuba soloists, with percussion.

By Nino Rota. Arranged by Rita Arendz. Film/TV,Romantic Period. Brass Band. 40 pages. Rita Arendz #6682653. Published by Rita Arendz (A0.1001558). The tragic romance of Romeo and Juliet dates from before Shakespeare's 1597 dramatic play. Since then, the story has been adapted for opera, musicals, and film. In the late 1870's Tchaikovsky toyed with the idea of an opera. He completed a Fantasy Overture, and later on, sketched the Duet between the two lovers. A tragedy in itself, Tchaikovsky never finished his opera. Almost 100 years later, Franco Zeffirelli directed a film version where Giovanni Rota Rinaldi (Nino Rota) created the musical score in 1968. The most notable segment is the Love Theme sung by the troubadour during the masked ball where Romeo and Juliet first meet. This setting is based on the timeless innocence of Rinaldi's writing of the Love Theme and makes reference to the passionate duet of Tchaikovksy, with Juliet played by the Tenor Horn and Romeo by the Euphonium. As Shakespeare wrote in Twelfth Night, if music be the food of love, play on!Scored for the smaller British Brass Band with a minimum of 9 parts up to full band.  Duration ~4:25. 40 Pages.
