Clarinet Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.926748 Composed by Yuan-Chen Li. Contemporary,Standards,World. Individual part. 3 pages. Yuan-Chen Li #6866395. Published by Yuan-Chen Li (A0.926748).      Hakka is identified as the common theme running through three pieces for solo clarinet, and clarinet and piano duet, written for students of beginner, intermediate, and intermediate/advanced levels: Singing in the Hakka Village, Mountain Dance, and Song of Soaring Mountains. It takes students to expand simple elements into examples of expression by employing changes in dynamics, tempos, and ornaments. The tune by the ethnic group Hakka is rooted in triadic arpeggiations. Supplied with techniques such as call and response, tempo modulations, and extreme register shifts, one shall recognize these techniques meant to depict not only the geographical features where the Hakka villages often situate but also practices in Chinese traditional music and contemporary music.     CMTNC (Chinese Music Teachers Association of Northern California) Commission Series is a collection of musical works for a set of twelve pieces for violin, piano, cello, and clarinet (three pieces for each instrument written for beginner, intermediate, and intermediate/advanced students; with or without piano accompaniment). Through this series, student performers and their audiences are reminded of life experiences through the reminiscence and creative process of classic Chinese music literature and well-known folksongs.

White Piano International Publishing #6521577. Published by White Piano International Publishing (A0.914975). THE GRANDPARENT'S DAY SONG  PIANO / VOCALPopular SongWords & Music by ROBERT VAN HORNE4 PagesIt was September 5, 2014 at my First Friday Piano Concert at the Atrium in San Jose, CA that I premiered THE GRANDPARENT'S DAY SONG.Many of the Atrium residents, as well as many of us, are unaware that the second Sunday in September is NATIONAL GRANDPARENTS DAY.Since there are only a handful of songs dedicated to grandparents, I decided to write and dedicate this special piece of music to grandparents all over the world. My inspiration for the music and words came to me from my many years of performing for the wonderful residents at the Atrium (Brookdale San Jose). This is a popular song for grandkids, parents and singers who want to honor their grandparents, giving them special acknowledgement with gratitude and love.A Youtube video of Robert's recording of this piece is available at: http://youtu.be/dRkVdv55Zao Website: www.robertvanhorne.comEmail: rvh@robertvanhorne.comRobert is a member of ASCAP
