This is a lead sheet for an original bossa nova/jazz piece. The title, Não Sei Porque (I Don't Know Why...), is a nod to the Brazilian origins of the bossa nova style. The translation of said title is in parentheses. The piece is intended to be performed at approximately 135 bpm. It's a lively piece that can be performed in and arranged for any context in which you might perform any jazz standard. A variety of ensembles from high school to professional levels could perform it to a very warm reception. The audio file is my attempt at a standard big band arrangement. It was done in Finale 25 with instruments from Garritan's JABB 3 software. This beginner song was inspired by the peepers (little frogs) singing one spring night.  Written in G position in the bass clef, the right hand plays the frog sound, F# and G played together.  I always call these frog's eyes because they remind me of frog's eyes.  This song is actually a game.  Each measure has a different colour of frog in it.  I use bingo chips, but anything with matching colours would work.  Put them in a bag, pulling one at a time.  The student has to play whatever colour is pulled.  They should do this 4-5 times for each colour.  Then play the song through twice.  They repeat this for each practice session.  This is a game that I use frequently with my younger students as it teaches them to break their practice into smaller segments and they have fun while they practice.
