Originally conceived as an Elegy for Strings in 1965, it was transformed into an Adagietto for String Sextet in 1978 and published for the first time in 1993. Hummel undertook a further arrangement of the composition in 1999 and participated with musical friends in its first performance. In one of the scores, the title is supplemented by the term “sacrale”, an indication of the religious background of this composition. In a time of increasing secularisation, the creative and no doubt also the reproducing artist have the task of pointing out to their contemporaries the transcendental, the inexplicable and the unprovable. The language of music - most effective perhaps in reaching across world frontiers - has an especially important role in this. Representations of suffering and horror alone cannot be the inherent constituent of a work of art. A reference to comfort and hope is indispensable. Furthermore, life, nature, and, for the believer, knowledge of God give cause enough for praise and thanks.” This is how my father once formulated his artistic conception. A favourite adopted term of his, “musikalische Klangrede” [musical speech), appears to me to be particularly well implemented in the Adagietto.

This is a worshipful song of harp and cello.  The cello fills in for the vocal part.  A solo voice or the whole church family of Christian and Jewish brethren alike.  The Christian roots in Judaism are always to be remembered and cherished and honored!  The short, almost choppy style verses give way to the flowing melodic texture of the Chorus.  May Jesus Christ be praised!  As a seminary graduate, the utmost is put into each song for the best of Biblical theology I know to date.  As the Lord keeps teaching and illuminating more about Himself, I'm certain the lyrics and songs will become even better than what they are presently.  The Spirit of God enabled me to write all the compositions, and they are SPLENDID right now!  All songs are From the Lord, By the Spirit of God, and To the praise of the Lord Jesus!  Amen!!!  :). The arrangement took me a couple of hours to create, and I based it directly on the music, listening to the song and transcribing it. When practicing the song, I suggest you split it up phrase by phrase. If you have trouble with certain measures, isolate those measures and practice. After, it will be easier to play the entire section you are working on. This also helps with memorizing. Ed Sheeran Perfect for Piano Solo is appropriate for high intermediate and advanced students looking to play popular music which sound great. It will take a lot of practice for the student to complete depending on his or her level. Remember to omit notes if needed in the right hand! This is an original composition by me, utilising Schubert's fragment and themes from the fragment Written for wind octet:2 ob, 2 cl, 2 hn and 2 bsn. Composed in 1813, and publised in 1889, Schubert's wind octet D72 is incomplete. The minuet and trio, and finale exist, along with a fragment of 100 bars of the first movement. The 2nd slow movement (if there was one) is missing. The fragment seems to show the end of the development, flowing into the recapitulation. I have now completed the movment, with the expostion starting in F, and 2nd theme moduating into the Dominant C major. An optional repeat has been added, the 2nd time bar has a diminshed 7th chord I have created a new deveopment section in D minor, using themes from the fragment , which then leads into the start of the fragment., which leads to the recapitualtion. This has both themes in F and brings the movement to an end The new movement is 232 bars long. Other mvts are available for quintet, octet and dectet/decet. The mp3 is the 2nd theme of the exposition. leading into the development section. I have made some light tweaks to Schubert's original work. It lasts 5 mins 2 seconds without my repeat.
