Concert Band - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1091257 Composed by Allen Story, Anna Gordy Gaye, and George Gordy. Arranged by Ryan Putt. Christmas,Contemporary,Holiday. Score and parts. 50 pages. Brasswood Publishing, LLC #695423. Published by Brasswood Publishing, LLC (A0.1091257). What Christmas Means to Me is a fun, up-tempo R&B groove. This classic Christmas tune was famously performed by Stevie Wonder. This arrangement was inspired by the John Legend cover and the original. It features a soloistic Vibes part that will showcase your best mallet player. The alto sax is showcased with the melody throughout most of the chart. No matter the size of your group, this Christmas classic is sure to delight an audience of any age. Written for a full wind ensemble, this chart is at home in any venue. Many of the parts are single parts, and the doubling is done to facilitate performance by any number of differing instrumentations. The opening build is marked in the tuba part to add players every 4 bars. It is recommended that the tuba part be split across the section to allow individual players to get a rest. There is an optional bass part to supplement the tuba, bari sax, and bass clarinet if one is available. The optional bass clef marimba part also doubles the bass line throughout.

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quintet Bassoon,Clarinet,Flute,Horn,Oboe - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1474077 By Miles Davis. By Miles Davis. Arranged by James Smith. Jazz,Standards. 11 pages. Ensemble Llama Music #1051711. Published by Ensemble Llama Music (A0.1474077). So What is the first track on the 1959 album Kind of Blue by American trumpeter Miles Davis. This arrangement has the melody given to the bassoon, with help from the flute (not heard on the preview clip) and clarinet. There is a middle section where the ensemble members are given the chance to improvise - 1 or 2 people would play the bassline, and another person improvises over the bassline. There are lots of ways to make this piece fun for everyone. Have members of the ensemble take a solo - improvisation is a great skill to have, and it will help your concert program stand out. Have the audience members participate with body percussion - snaps, pats, claps, etc. Feel free to also change the bassline, or improvise a bassline, based on the chord symbols given.View other selections in my catalog at linktr.ee/ensemblellama.
