String Quartet Cello,String Quartet,Viola,Violin - Digital Download SKU: A0.749205 By Oasis. By Neil Innes and Noel Gallagher. Arranged by HELEN MARPLE-HORVAT. Rock. Score and parts. 14 pages. Helen Marple-Horvat #3549069. Published by Helen Marple-Horvat (A0.749205). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p6l4Q1lot6c The Oasis song Whatever’ was written in 1994 and is one of their longest tracks. It really lends itself to a quartet or string orchestra arrangement as the original has a very prominent string presence throughout. The key is easy for strings and there are lots of straight and satisfying quaver sections. I gave the opening melody to the second violin this time! There are some double stopping moments in fifths, but many more with at least one of the pair being an open string. Bars 22 and 23 are quite syncopated and it may help classically trained musicians to have a listen to the original to get a ‘lazy’ feel to it rather than a more ‘literal’ rendition! At Bar 20, the cello solo could be played an octave lower. The first violin has the trickiest part, but the ending need not go up the octave. An increase in volume would sounded almost as exciting and would mean that younger players could easily tackle this arrangement.

String Trio Cello,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1490052 By Doris Day. By Jay Livingston and Raymond B. Evans. Arranged by Homco/Crinion. Film/TV,Pop. 7 pages. Homco/Crinion #1066918. Published by Homco/Crinion (A0.1490052). Que Sera, Sera (Whatever Will Be, Will Be) is a 1955 song that was sung by Doris Day in the Alfred Hitchcock film The Man Who Knew Too Much. It is a timeless light-hearted waltz that won an Academy Award for Best Original Song. It's a song about embracing fate and accepting the uncertainty that life brings. In this String Trio arrangement - as always - we like to share the wealth and give the melody to each of the 3 instruments at different times.
