Franck's Andantino in Ab (Pièces posthumes, No.33) - CFF 86
This very sweet and lyrical melody originally written for organ (ca. 1858) sounds even warmer and more melodic played by string quartet or sax quartet. Your audience will be rocking back and forth in their seats and smiling as they hum along with the gorgeous melody.
While not a technically difficult piece, the song requires good blend and balance, and the lead part's range is somewhat challenging (playing to low Bb on the soprano or altissimo G on alto, sub for soprano). I've also written an alternate alto sub part without altissimo notes for a more intermediate level quartet.
