Instrumental Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.879895 By Justin Cody. By Justin Cody. Arranged by Justin Cody. Classical,Contemporary,New Age. Individual part. 7 pages. Justin Cody #486261. Published by Justin Cody (A0.879895). When I began writing Breathe, I was really learning how to connect my breath to movement while practicing Yoga with Adrienne's 30-day yoga journey (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JpWa4LtKe4c) I was fascinated by how she seemingly slowed the world down for me by asking me to focus on the in and out breath while going through the movements. I was drawn to this meditative practice and was compelled to put this into practice at the piano. I've always been into connecting breath to music, but this was in a different more intentional way. I've always felt that pianists should have more training on connecting their breath to playing. It's too easy for pianists to miss the connection between playing and breath. So I sat down one day and just had this idea of creating a technical exercise for the pianist where not only is the music notated but the breath as well in a way that teaches you how to use your breathe to enhance the music you are playing.

Piano Solo - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1021632 Composed by TJHoltMusic. Contemporary. Score. 9 pages. TJHoltMusic #6138243. Published by TJHoltMusic (A0.1021632). Elegy for a Raindrop, Op. 25 was composed for solo piano. To capture the true atmosphere of this piece, think of your stereotypical rainy day movie scene. You look out of the window and while you are waiting for the sun to return, you ponder on the existence of a single raindrop, whose sole purpose is falling from the grey sky, in mass with its brethren, to kiss the green earth below. Never rising, always falling while giving (or taking) life. This is its elegy. An elegy for a raindrop.Composed by Tyler J. HoltPublished by TJHoltMusicCopyright © Tyler J. Holt, Composer

Guitar - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1495795 Composed by Jacob Collier. Arranged by Justin Roth. This edition: audio, pdf, streaming. Contemporary, Folk, Pop, Singer/Songwriter. Guitar Tab. 9 pages. Rothirric Music #1072324. Published by Rothirric Music (A0.1495795). This guitar transcription is based on the MAHOGANY SESSIONS version, released on March 21, 2024. Summer Rain was written by Jacob Collier and features Madison Cunningham on vocals and Chris Thile on mandolin. It is on Jacob’s Djesse vol. 4 album, released on February 29, 2024. Following two sold-out trio shows in London in September 2023, this is where Jacob, Madison and Chris got together to record Summer Rain as a trio for the first time.Despite the harmonic complexity of parts of the song, learn the easy and repeatable chord shapes that Jacob actually uses to make this song easier to play that you think. This transcription is intended as a chordal and rhythmic guide to the song, making it more accessible, no matter what your level of playing is. Since it is based on a live performance, and because Jacob doesn't play anything exactly the same way twice, this is not a note-for-note fingerstyle arrangement, but includes tablature for repeated fingerpicking patterns used. This frees you up to adapt it to your level of playing, whether you're a strummer or fingerpicker. As a professional fingerstyle guitarist himself, arranger and transcriber, Justin Roth, has been teaching and transcribing Jacob Collier's guitar arrangements with precision and attention to detail unlike no other to date. Supplemental tutorial videos that accompany Justin's transcriptions are available here: https://bit.ly/JCtutorials

Choral Choir (SA) - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.873034 Composed by Sally Whitwell. Pop. Octavo. 11 pages. Sally Whitwell #3869017. Published by Sally Whitwell (A0.873034). Composer’s Note - Happy PlaceI’m a lesbian who came-of-age/came-out in the mid 1990s, which means I caught the tail end of those lesbian stereotypes you used to hear about. It made me feel like I’d never inherited The Lesbian Gene. I was never one of the herbal tea sipping, yoga loving, hemp textiles wearing, hippie happy clappy campers of that time. I had girlfriends who were and I tried to humour them sometimes but it was always a strain.I had this one girlfriend who made me go camping once, a gathering with her hippie pagan friends. It was all inoffensive enough, I was having a very nice time sitting in the shade reading my book. Rather stupidly, I made the mistake of letting someone rope me into a thing called Drumming The Boundary. They thought I’d be good at it, being a professional musician. I thought it would probably please my girlfriend if I got involved, so I agreed to go along. To my surprise, the drums they’d set up were great instruments, some really top quality djembes that you’d be paying some good money for, so I made the rash assumption that the leader of this activity actually knew what she was doing. We were instructed to start drumming a heartbeat together, whereupon I discovered that these are people who couldn’t even play a plain old crotchet beat in ensemble. But they seemed to think they were playing in time, swooning and swaying and closing their eyes to ‘feel’ the music. It was starting to make me giggle. These were presumably the same lesbians I’d seen out in Sydney nightclubs who couldn’t dance in time with an electronic beat that repeatedly hits you over the head with its obviousness?! Once I’d had that thought, I couldn’t help my giggle becoming a full-blown guffaw. The dreadlocked hempy lady in charge glared at me, telling me I needed to relax into really feeling the heartbeat. Could she not see that it was because my whole body was shaking with hysterical laughter at their arhythmic playing? Honestly...I guess I just really don’t like hippies. There, I said it out loud. I tried, I tried really hard, but I just prefer my city life. It’s my Happy Place.-- Sally Whitwell

Piano Solo - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.865414 Composed by Karen D. Janiszewski. Halloween,Instructional. Score. 6 pages. Karen D. Janiszewski #3820215. Published by Karen D. Janiszewski (A0.865414). Piano solo collection for beginner pianists. 1. Skeleton Scowls, 2. The Haunt, 3. Creepy Clowns, 4. Witch’s Circle, 5. Zombie Apocalypse. Each movement concentrates on various concepts specifically for the beginner pianist.  Movement one emphasizes the use of staccato, the key of G key signature and the use of flats and naturals.  Movement two is meant for the student that is beginning to explore the piano outside of positions, but in a gentle, repetitive way.  Movement three uses the key of D major and minor, to help students with accidentals and key signature studies.  Movement four is also for the student that has learned to play without positions, perhaps one that has done some interval training, as this movement is based on the circle of fifths and fourths.  The final movement has more of a focus on rhythm, articulation and expressive details.  The left hand stays in low G position and the right hand stays in C position, making this movement easier to play, but it allows the student to focus on the other details.  A great way for students to work on their skills, while learning a quick piece for Halloween!

Piano Solo - Digital Download SKU: A0.966218 Composed by John Carbon. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score. 25 pages. John Carbon #3586217. Published by John Carbon (A0.966218). Composed in 2016, Madeleines is similar to my two sets of Spanish Lessons (1988 and 2001) which are both suites of character pieces for piano inspired by my admittedly limited travel in Spain. Madeleines is inspired by a much earlier hairbrained trip I took to France (and the rest of the Grand Tour) with my sister when I was in college. The title refers to Proust's episode of the madeleine, in which involuntary memory overwhelms the protagonist when he bites into one of these small cakes. I also sometimes experience poignant memories from our fondly remembered trip triggered by various catalysts. The five episodes in this set of pieces attempt to capture the essence of some of these memories. The first piece, MeÌmoire triste dans un cafeÌ (sad memory in a cafeÌ), serves the purpose of a preÌlude. One might conclude that the madeleine is sampled in this location. Il pleut aÌ Brest (It is raining in Brest) evokes memories of the wet weather in Brest, a city in Brittany near the coast. I was curious about this area because, during our travels, we met a boy in Paris with dark and dangerous eyes named François (François et ses yeux dangereux) who was from that area. In Il pleut the sound of rain alternates with church bells and fog horns (one of the poetic sensations I remember vividly about Brest). The third piece (François) is a blend of a barcarolle and a funeral march. I continued to send one-way letters to François after we returned and one day the French police called to tell me that he was dead and that they had found one of my letters on his body, which had been tossed into the Seine. They wanted more information, and they revealed that he had been smuggling drugs out of Turkey. I think the next piece, Promenade dans la meÌnagerie de Versailles (Walk in the zoo at Versailles), is tempered by later memories of a trip I took to the zoo at Schönbrunn palace near Vienna, the oldest Baroque zoo, which was in a terrible state of decay when I saw it, hence the wistful air. The finale of the set, Madeleine deÌteste les devoirs (Madeleine hates homework) is a bow to the French primer I grew up with, which had as one of its main characters a little girl who I think may have been named Madeleine. I know her father was named François. My memories are mixed up, the actual François Thibaud is remembered as the inventor of the fast-track method of learning French, which was in vogue when I first studied it in 6th grade. The idea here is that Madeleine, the daughter of François, is having a tantrum and playing with her hoops or a bike rather than doing her English homework. --John Carbon

Clarinet Choir,Woodwind Ensemble Bass Clarinet,E-Flat Clarinet - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1428951 Composed by Grant Horsley. Classical,Comedy,Contemporary,Contest,Festival,Halloween. 47 pages. Grant Horsley #1009768. Published by Grant Horsley (A0.1428951). A Hunky punk is a grotesque carving on the side of a building, typically found on Mid/ Late medieval churches in the UK. They are plentiful in Somerset in the West Country of England Though similar in appearance to a gargoyle, a hunky punk is purely decorative and has no other functional purpose whatsoever!! Unlike the gargoyle, which serves to drain water off the roof through its mouth. The theory behind hunky punks and grotesques in general, was that churches were designed to reflect the balance between good and evil, reminding worshippers of the narrow path leading through life. As a result, for every saint or animal that was intended to signify purity and ‘goodness’, there was also an ugly creature to signify evil and ‘badness’.Scored for E flat Clarinet, 4 B flat Clarinets, Alto, Bass and Contrabass Clarinet. This piece is in concert G minor and begins with a medieval type of fanfare which occurs throughout. What follows is a haunting theme with lots of flattened 5ths and several discords to represent the uncomfortable nature of this statue. The staccato and accent direction in most of the piece gives the impression of walking on eggshells not knowing what lies around the corner! Then a brief legato section of the fanfare appears to provide a calmer atmosphere before eventually returning to the main theme and big ending. Set at intermediate level but on the youtube link there is the full score for you to assess suitability. It is nearly 5 mins in length and would be a great addition to a repertoire.Price is for the full score and all parts.
