It was a time of reflection for Redding as he started to musically evolve from his ‘emotional’ R&B style to this example that was most exquisitely soulful and laid back. A couple of months after recording this song Redding died in a plane crash, leaving one to wonder where would his art have taken him…This arrangement is scored for 4-part SATB ensemble with piano accompaniment.
