Flute,Handbell,Piano - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.767667 Composed by 18th century French carol and anonymous. Arranged by Published by C.E. Walz. Christmas,Sacred. 9 pages. C.E. Walz #4793795. Published by C.E. Walz (A0.767667). He Is Born is a beautiful French carol and a perfect piece for beginning handbells or handchimes. The key to a successful handbell / handchime experience is to create a song that involves only chords and a consistent beat pattern  for the bells. The early intermediate flute takes the melody in this piece, and the piano fills in with the accompaniment. Listen to the recording and you'll be surprised that your handbell group can play something that appears much more complex than it is!  The typical 4/4 rhythm of this carol is replaced with a lilting and smooth 3/4 waltz style. Key of F, no key changes, 5 pp. of piano (with flute and bell scores reduced), 2 pp. of flute part, and 2 pp. of handbell/handchime part. A total of 9 pages. PERMISSION GRANTED TO MAKE COPIES OF ALL PARTS AS NEEDED. Maestro gives He Is Born a 'ringing' endorsement!

Organ - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.836714 Composed by Brian Joyce. 20th Century,Christian,Christmas,Sacred. Score. 8 pages. Brian Joyce #4805139. Published by Brian Joyce (A0.836714). New for the 2019 Christmas Season, here is a NoĂ«l (a set of variations of a type popular in the French Baroque) on a somewhat less well known Advent Carol for manuals only.  Venez, divin Messie (O Come Divine Messiah) is an anonymous 16th century tune to which AbbĂ© Simon-Joseph Pellegrin added the words in the early 18th century. It is a charming melody and this new setting will provide organists with a little something beyond the ordinary Advent/Christmas fare.Originally conceived for harpsichord, this piece easily makes the transition to organ manuals. Performance time is between 9 and 10 minutes depending largely on the acoustics of the room. The attached audio file will tell you everything there is to say about the music. You will hear the entire tune plus the beginning and ending of each variation.

He loves the mournful sound it can make, but he adores the fact that He Is Born has such a flowing and soothing sound. That's because I set this tune in 3/4 time instead of the usual 2/4. The waltz meter lets this lovely Christmas carol flow so beautifully. Perfect for any Christmas service or recital. Bass Clarinet,Bass Voice,Bassoon,Choir,Flute,Horn,Keyboard,Oboe,Organ,Piano,Trombone,Trumpet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1373812 Composed by Frank Houghton and Marilyn Baker. Arranged by Ted Samuels. Chamber,Christian,Christmas,Traditional. 78 pages. Theodore A. Samuels #958285. Published by Theodore A. Samuels (A0.1373812). This Christmas carol has had a number of different versions, starting out in the 18th Century as a French carol, Quelle Est Cette Odeur Agreable?. It has been translated into English as What Is This Fragrance? Other lyrics were written for the same tune, such as Thou Who Wast Rich Beyond All Splendor by Frank Houghton in 1934, based on 2 Corinthians 8:9: For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. In 1997, Houghton's wife Dorothy modernized his lyrics as Lord, You Were Rich Beyond All Splendor for the Haven of Rest Quartet to record with the title For Love's Sake. It has also been recorded by Marilyn Baker in the UK and Keith & Kristyn Getty in the UK & Ireland. This is a flexible band/choral arrangement which, in its demo configuration here, is presented by a keyboard and a double quartet of wind instruments with a string bass. The performance time is approximately 3:30.
