Fauré composed his Pavane for a dead princess Op 50 in 1887. It is arranged here in G minor for Alto Sax and piano. For the first time the solo can be played also on Tenor Sax. The part is included in this set. Although it is very frequently played there are very few options available in this key signature. The piece is also an excellent recital choice and offers enjoyable playing challenges.

However, it mentions only two ways to leave your lover! It became Simon's sole number-one hit as a solo artist on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States. Following Simon's divorce from first wife Peggy Harper, Simon opted to take a more humorous approach to document the event and recorded the song in a small New York City studio on Broadway. Billboard called it an excellent song that has very clever lyrics and an easy to listen to melody.
