Brass Ensemble Trumpet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.749731 Composed by Stephen M. Taylor. Baroque,Graduation,Instructional,Standards,Wedding. Score and parts. 13 pages. SMT Music #3362665. Published by SMT Music (A0.749731). This is an original piece of music in the style of Purcell and some influence of Vivaldi in the C section. A good wedding processional march- it works great for the bridal march of the maids and I have used it for the bride as well. It works quite well for longer processions due to being a three part work. So, there is room to repeat with variety.  Another unique attribute of the work is it's versatility. It can be done with as few as three string players. Or, you can add the viola to make it a quartet. Or, you can complement that with Organ and there is a trumpet obligado part that can be added as well. Works great for any sort of procession music such as school graduation or awards dinner .  I wrote this piece in 1996 and revised it in 2009. Instrumental Duet Alto Saxophone,Instrumental Duet,Piano - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.912910 Composed by Brandon Nelson. Concert,Contemporary. Score and parts. 10 pages. Brandon Nelson #1954845. Published by Brandon Nelson (A0.912910). Commissioned to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Adophe Sax’s birth, each of the movements of this piece (beyond the expository prelude) presents miniature vignettes of music written in Belgium’s past as seen through the lens of Sax’s invention. It is, in that sense, an homage to not only the great musical minds that came before Sax, but also to his own keen inventive mind and incomparable contributions to music history. The Postlude involves a curious intersection of Sax with another brilliant musical mind: Richard Wagner. Sax was the stage director for a performance of Wagner's Tannhauser, and he put some saxophones offstage with French horns because he couldn't find enough horn players in Paris. Wagner was so angry he rescored the Shepherd's Tune from Act 3 of Tristan und Isolde from saxophone to English horn. A portion of that tune appears in the Postlude to this piece, rectifying this petty bit of vengeance for Sax. Learn more about me at: bnelsonmusic.wordpress.com.
