I Don't Want To Miss A Thing was recorded by Aerosmith for the smash hit 1998 film Armageddon, and it immediately became a huge success. As the cellist for Aerosmith's Las Vegas residency show, I've performed this song with the band over 50 times, so this one has a special place in my heart! This arrangement for violin & cello duet maintains the beautiful harmonies, soaring melodies, driving beat, and dynamic passion of the original, for a chart that your audience will love listening to as much as you love playing it! Originally written for a wedding ceremony, this will also be perfect for receptions, proposals, pop concerts, or any other occasion that you need to pull on your audience's heartstrings. I've loved this song for a long time, so you can imagine how happy I was when I was hired as the cellist for Aerosmith's Deuces Are Wild Las Vegas residency -- getting to perform this song numerous times with the band themselves has been an amazing experience! This arrangement of Dream On truly does the original justice, with all the soaring melodies, dark harmonies, and fun guitar riffs of the original (modified to be more string-friendly, of course). I guarantee you'll have a LOT of fun rocking out on this with your string quartet! Rated advanced-intermediate for a few tricky figures and some occasional weird rhythms, but this will definitely be sightreadable for professionals and learnable for students.

I Don't Want to Miss a Thing is a song recorded by American hard rock band Aerosmith as the theme song for the 1998 science fiction disaster film Armageddon. The power ballad was written by Diane Warren. The song received its airplay premiere on May 12, 1998, and was officially added to radio a week later. I Don't Want to Miss a Thing, in the United States, was originally supposed to be a radio-only single from Armageddon: The Album, but due to popular demand, Columbia Records issued the song commercially in August 1998. It subsequently debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100, giving the band their first and only number-one single in their home country, remaining at the top for four weeks. The song was nominated for an Oscar as Best Original Song at the 71st Academy Awards of 1998, but lost to When You Believe from The Prince of Egypt.

Ok - this one is just plain fun. Originally released on Aerosmith's Toys in the Attic and later remade adding Run DMC, Walk This Way is a bonafide rock and roll classic. This arrangement is to be played with all the Aerosmith swagger possible with a big band. Solo section is open with changes in AS1, TS1, Tpt2 & Tbn1. Obviously, a screamin' guitar solo would be totally appropriate. The key signature is neutral, with accidentals placed as needed. This chart will give any jazz band concert some serious attitude!
