Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1110548 Composed by African-American Spiritual. Arranged by John Lehrack. Folk,Historic,Religious,Sacred,Spiritual. Score. 4 pages. GGLS Publishing #712849. Published by GGLS Publishing (A0.1110548). This arrangement of the African-American spiritual, Were You There, takes us through the crucifixion of Jesus, his entombment and resurrection. After the plaintive introduction, the first verse is a modified arrangement of the standard hymn and asks Were you there when they crucified my Lord? Verse 2 begins with a little hope that quickly turns to disbelief at watching nails being driven into the Christ: Were you there when they nailed him to a tree?. The left hand simulates the hammer and slowly, slowly, Jesus dies. The key of the third verse is lower than the first two, minor and dissonant and symbolic of Christ being lowered into a tomb. Were you there when they laid him in the tomb? The opening motif returns now, full of quiet despair but gradually evolves into light shining from the tomb and bringing forth hope. Finally, the last verse Were you there when he rose up from the grave? is in an entirely new key from the first three verses and moves with more excitement. Joy builds and the left hand never stays down for long, constantly rising again and again as Christ is raised from the dead in triumph. We conclude with a softening and slowly into contented joy, secure in our faith and knowledge of rebirth.

Piano Solo - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1001503 By Carrie Underwood. By Gloria Shayne and Noel Regney. Arranged by Justin K. Reeve. Contemporary. Score. 4 pages. Justin Kenlon Reeve #6662159. Published by Justin Kenlon Reeve (A0.1001503). Do You Hear What I Hear? was written in October 1962 with lyrics by Noël Regney and music by Gloria Shayne Baker. It has sold tens of millions of copies and has been covered by hundreds of different artists.Regney was inspired to write the lyrics Said the night wind to the little lamb, 'Do you see what I see?' and Pray for peace, people everywhere, after watching babies being pushed in strollers on the sidewalks of New York City. Baker stated in an interview years later that neither could personally perform the entire song at the time they wrote it because of the emotions surrounding the Cuban Missile Crisis. Our little song broke us up. You must realize there was a threat of nuclear war at the time.It was Bing Crosby who made the song a worldwide smash hit when he recorded his own version of Do You Hear What I Hear? in 1963, and over the years Crosby's recording of the song has received wide radio play, and been a cherished Christmas favorite.

Choral Choir,Choral (SATB) - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1267134 By Peggy Lee. By Joe McCoy. Arranged by Michael Thomas Coull. 20th Century,Blues,Contemporary,Jazz,Standards. 10 pages. MTC Publishing #859768. Published by MTC Publishing (A0.1267134). Why Don't You Do Right (Get Me Some Money, Too) - Choral Arrangement for SATB and Piano arranged by Michael Thomas CoullWhy Don't You Do Right (Get Me Some Money Too!) was originally recorded as Weed Smoker's Dream and is an American blues and jazz-influenced pop song written by ‘Kansas Joe’ McCoy and Herb Morand in 1936.  Both men are given composer credits on the original 78 record label, although Morand’s name is misspelled. In 1936, the Harlem Hamfats recorded the Weed Smoker’s Dream.  Band member Joe McCoy later rewrote the song, refining both the composition and lyrics.  The new tune, titled Why Don't You Do Right (Get Me Some Money Too!), was recorded by Lil Green in 1941, with guitar by William ‘Big Bill’ Broonzy.  The minor key twelve-bar blues song, with a few chord substitutions, proved popular and quickly became a jazz standard. With its roots in blues music, the song originally dealt with a marijuana smoker reminiscing about lost financial opportunities.  After it was rewritten, it took on the perspective of the female partner, chastising her man for his irresponsible ways:  ‘Why don't you do right, like some other men do?  Get out of here and get me some money too!’A wonderful bluesy arrangement for full SATB choir with piano accompaniment, not just fun for the choir to sing, but also one the audience will really enjoy too.

Concert Band - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1149127 Composed by John Barry and Leslie Bricusse. Arranged by Keith Terrett. Film/TV,Historic,Standards. 37 pages. Keith Terrett #749257. Published by Keith Terrett (A0.1149127). An arrangement for Concert/Wind Band of the classic Bond tune ''You Only Live Twice''. I made this chart back in the 1980's when I was studying orchestration & Arranging under the late and great Lt. Col. Trevor Sharpe. The soundtrack was the fourth of the series to be composed by John Barry. He tried to incorporate the elegance of the Oriental sound with Japanese music-inspired tracks. The theme song, You Only Live Twice, was composed by Barry and lyricist Leslie Bricusse, and sung by Nancy Sinatra after her father Frank Sinatra passed on the opportunity. Nancy Sinatra was reported to be very nervous while recording – first she wanted to leave the studio; then she claimed to sometimes sound like Minnie Mouse.[36] Barry declared that the final song uses 25 different takes. There are two versions of the song You Only Live Twice, sung by Nancy Sinatra, one directly from the movie soundtrack, and a second one for record release arranged by Billy Strange.[citation needed] The movie soundtrack song is widely recognised for its striking opening bars and oriental flavour, and was far more popular on radio. The record release reached No. 44 on the Billboard charts in the US, and No. 11 in the UK. Both versions of the title song are available on CD. A different title song was originally recorded by Julie Rogers, but eventually discarded. Only two lines from that version were kept in the final lyrics, and the orchestral part was changed to fit Sinatra's vocal range. Rogers' version only appeared in a James Bond 30th Anniversary CD, with no singer credit. In the 1990s, an alternative example of a possible theme song (also called You Only Live Twice and sung by Lorraine Chandler) was discovered in the vaults of RCA Records. It became a very popular track with followers of the Northern soul scene (Chandler was well known for her high-quality soul output on RCA) and can be found on several RCA soul compilations.

Piano - Digital Download SKU: A0.1068094 Composed by Bill Bridenback & Melissa C. Westman. Arranged by Melissa C. Westman. Christian,Christmas. Accompaniment. Duration 130. Melissa C. Westman #36305. Published by Melissa C. Westman (A0.1068094). This is an accompaniment track for How Far Would You Go, composed by Bill Bridenback and Melissa C. Westman. How Far Would You Go, the fifth selection for S.A.T.B. choir from the adult Christmas cantata, Christ the Lord, borrows the music from an old English Carol and embellishes it with a Scottish drone sung as an accompaniment to the cheerful melody. This song which follows We Are the Magi in the cantata, begs the question, How far would you go, after considering how far and how long the Magi traveled to worship Jesus?.
