Stephen R Dalrymple #6663435. Published by Stephen R Dalrymple (A0.818362). The Claims of the Son 3: I Am the Light of the Worldoriginal song for SATB choir and piano Stephen R Dalrymple♫ based on John 8 and 9♫ This collection of songs focuses on the Claims of Jesus Christ based on the “I Am’s of the Gospel of John. ♫ The claim “I Am the Light of the World†came from Jesus’ encounter with a man born blind. It is also found in another context – possibly at the Feast of Lights when the Temple was illuminated with a plethora of lights. With electric lights, we are used to seeing many, sometimes intense lights at night. But night light was limited in the first century to oil lamps. Light in the dark represents visibility (understanding, knowledge) safety (confidence), and the ability to navigate.  ♫ music © 1999, 2022♫ recording ℗ 2022 Stephen R Dalrymple♫ presentation © 2024 Stephen R Dalrymple♫ sequenced by the composer♫ This.pdf file includes 1) full score 2) SATB choir parts on 2 staves 3) full score for 10 inch tablet. String Orchestra - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1489823 By Keith Terrett. By Basil Simonenko. Arranged by Keith Terrett. 20th Century,Classical,Contemporary,Contest,Festival,Multicultural,World. 12 pages. Keith Terrett #1066696. Published by Keith Terrett (A0.1489823). In 1942, during World War II, the British government set up a small base in the North Sea just outside British territorial waters (at the time). After the war, the fort was abandoned, but, in 1967, Roy Bates, a pirate radio broadcaster, claimed it as the Principality of Sealand. The British government’s stated view is that Sealand is within British jurisdiction. Sealand generally is classified as a micronation (a nation project set up by an individual or group, and has no international recognition.)As pertaining to the anthem, it was composed by London composer Basil Simonenko in conjunction with the governing Bates family, and has no words. The title of the anthem is also the motto of Sealand.Principality of Sealand: The Principality of Sealand (/?si??lænd/) is a micronation that claims HM Fort Roughs (also known as Roughs Tower), an offshore platform in the North Sea approximately 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) off the coast of Suffolk, as its territory. Roughs Tower is a Maunsell Sea Fort that was built by the British during World War II. Since 1967, the decommissioned Roughs Tower has been occupied and claimed as a sovereign state by the family and associates of Paddy Roy Bates. Bates seized Roughs Tower from a group of pirate radio broadcasters in 1967 with the intention of setting up his own station there. Sealand was invaded by mercenaries in 1978, but was able to repel the attack. YouTube Link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EPicttbeI_c.

Brass Ensemble,Brass Quintet Horn,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Digital Download SKU: A0.1495808 Composed by Richard John (Gb1) Thompson. Arranged by Peet du Toit. Traditional. 7 pages. Peet du Toit #1072337. Published by Peet du Toit (A0.1495808). BANKS AND BRAES (O' BONNY DOON). AKA and see “Bonnie Doon,” Lost is My Quiet, Caledonian Hunt's Delight (The), Ye Banks and Braes. Scottish, Air and Waltz (6/8 or 3/4 time). The antiquarian William Chappell claims the tune is English on the strength of its being included in a Collection of English Songs by Dale (who published about 1780-1794) under the title Lost is my quiet. However, the collector John Glen (1891) relates a delightful story of the tune's origins involving the famous Scots poet, Robert Burns (1759-1796), who wrote to publisher George Thomson in 1794:Do you known the history of the air? It is curious enough. A good many years ago, Mr. James Miller, writer in your good own (Edinburgh), a gentleman whom, possibly, you know, was in company with our good friend Clarke; and taling of Scottish music, Miller expressed an ardent ambition to be able to compose a Scots air. Mr. Clarke, partly by way of a joke, told him to keep to the black keys of the harpsichord, and preserve some kind of rhythm, and he would infallibly compose a Scots air. Certain it is, that, in a few days, Mr. Miller produced the rudiments of an air which Mr. Clarke, with some touches and corrections, fashioned into the tune in question. Ritson, you know, has the same story of the black keys; but this account which I have just given you, Mr. Clarke informed me of several years ago.Miller's tune was first published under the title Caledonian Hunt's Delight (The) in Gow's 2nd Collection (1788), but Glen concludes that it is more likely that Lost is my quiet is a poor adaptation and nothing else. He also notes there is a tune having a supposed resemblance in Playford's Appollo's Banquet (1690) entitled Scotch Tune (A) (No. 68), but in the end he believes that neither Chappell's arguments nor facts are strong enough to deprive Mr. Miller of his claim. The Caledonian Hunt's Delight appears also in George Thomson's A Select Collection of Original Scottish Airs for the Voice (Edinburgh, 1793-1797), arranged by Kozeluch. A rondo on the air was composed by Domenico Corri (1746-1825) under the title Favourite Irish Air (which, of course, it is not).

By Bart Howard. Arranged by Richard Jones. Jazz,Standards. Brass Band. 28 pages. Richard Jones #1065680. Published by Richard Jones (A0.1488827). Not many pieces about space can also be said to have been played in space, but 'Fly Me to the Moon' can claim to be one of those. Originally entitled 'In Other Words', the song was written by Bart Howard in 1954 and dedicated to his partner of 58 years Thomas Fowler. Howard, a career musician and notable piano accompanist had collaborated with many other artists, including Cole Porter, but sadly had never gained individual acclaim. A publisher once suggested that his songs were too complex and when Howard was encouraged to write a simpler tune he produced Fly Me to the Moon in 20 minutes; and the rest is history.Notable artists have covered the song, including Tony Bennett, Peggy Lee, Paul Anka, Nancy Wilson, the pop band Westlife and transcribed into Urdu by the artist Alamgir. Howard estimated that before 1964 there had been over 100 versions of the song had been recorded. However, it was Frank Sinatra that made it a global success in 1964. With the legendary composer/arranger Quincy Jones and jazz icon Count Basie, Sinatra produced a sensationally swinging version of the song that captured listeners attention, and later NASA, who would use it on Apollo 10 and 11 missions. It was performed by Diana Krall at the 40th Anniversary of the landings and also, in a more somber setting, at the funeral of space legend Neil Armstrong.

Easy Piano - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1031029 Composed by Josh Belperio. Children,Contemporary,World. Score. 8 pages. Josh Belperio #2837215. Published by Josh Belperio (A0.1031029). 2016 Easy Piano Contest EntrySketches is very appropriate for beginner pianists, students or schools. It is a set of three short pieces, that aim to be fun, while exploring contrasting ideas of harmony and modality. This was my first assignment at the Elder Conservatorium of Music, set by my composition teacher, Graeme Koehne. The brief was to write a set of short piano pieces, aimed at the beginner-level pianist, incorporating a modal influence of some kind. The task's deceptively straightforward nature belied its true challenge: composing music using the simplest of techniques to achieve the maximum result. This forced me to learn the valuable compositional lesson of restraint, and once understood, I discovered a whole new delicate soundworld which I would otherwise have been unable to create. The idea of restraint has now permeated into everything that I write - something that I believe Graeme had intended all along. These pieces aim to be achievable for any elementary piano student, and through the use of restraint, strive to speak with elegance and clarity. For more information, visit the composer's website: www.joshbelperio.com

Piano Solo - Digital Download SKU: A0.1029382 Composed by Tony Ferrizzi. 20th Century,Contemporary,Jazz. Score. 7 pages. Focus Publications #4845135. Published by Focus Publications (A0.1029382). Recognized at a young age for his virtuosity and technical finesse as both a flatpicking and fingerpicking guitarist, Tony Ferrizzi-now 33-has matured into a musician capable of great feats in both jazz and classical arenas. Recognized nationally for his improvisational ability and adventurous graphical scores, Tony was the recent recipient of a generous private grant, which allowed him the opportunity to-for the first time-contribute composed, traditional scores to the art music idiom. Serenade No. 1 represents the efforts of a talented creative musician in a compositional space that many such musicians avoid. It is also Ferrizzi’s first piece for solo piano. The theoretical aim of this music has to do with a synthesis of impressionistic harmony and modern jazz musical structures. It is as indebted to 60s-era Miles Davis as it is to Ravel (and the implicit claim is that there is in the end quite a lot relating the fields that those composers worked in).

Concert Band - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1235675 By Martin Garrix. By Martijn Garritsen. Arranged by Scaver. 21st Century,Disco,Pop,Video Game. Score and Parts. 41 pages. Scaver #831187. Published by Scaver (A0.1235675). Scaver Music, a renowned concert band arranger, has recently unveiled their latest project: a concert band version of the hit song Animals by Martin Garrix. Originally released as a digital download on iTunes on June 17, 2013, Animals quickly gained popularity within the electronic dance music (EDM) culture, propelling Martin Garrix to become the youngest producer to ever have a song reach number one on Beatport, a prominent electronic music store. The track's infectious beats and energetic melodies captivated listeners, leading it to achieve remarkable success on various music charts. It climbed into the top ten and secured the number one spot on numerous electronic music charts, as well as some mainstream ones. Notably, Animals topped the singles charts in the United Kingdom, French-speaking Switzerland, and Belgium. In the United States, it reached number 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 and claimed the number one position on the Dance chart. Before its official release, Animals generated significant buzz as it was played anonymously, causing speculation to grow about the artist behind the track. Dutch record label Spinnin' Records fueled the anticipation by sharing a teaser clip of the song online, titled Animals (Teaser). This led to increased speculation, with a Vine video featuring Agnes from the animated film Despicable Me further stoking curiosity. The track was mistakenly attributed to other artists such as Hardwell, GTA, Sidney Samson, and Bassjackers before Martin Garrix's true identity as the producer was revealed.Martin Garrix shared insights into the composition of Animals, explaining that the melody was based on a previous track he had composed two years prior but never released. The drop, characterized by its ruthlessly minimalist and rhythmic sound, is inspired by Busta Rhymes' What It Is. Additionally, the opening section of the song draws inspiration from a track called D.A.T.A. by Aura Qualic. While Animals is predominantly instrumental, it features a spoken verse by a friend of Martin Garrix with the lyrics We're the fucking animals, delivered in a low pitch and repeated twice throughout the song. Now, Scaver Music has taken up the exciting challenge of arranging Animals for a concert band, bringing a fresh interpretation of this electronic dance anthem to a new musical realm. With their expertise in creating captivating arrangements, Scaver Music aims to capture the essence of the original track while adding the rich harmonies, dynamic textures, and powerful brass and woodwind sections that define the concert band sound.Fans of Animals and concert band enthusiasts alike can look forward to experiencing this new rendition, which promises to be a thrilling and unforgettable musical journey. Scaver Music's concert band version of Animals will undoubtedly provide a unique and exhilarating performance, blending the infectious energy of electronic dance music with the grandeur and depth of a full concert band.
