String Ensemble - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1173728 Composed by Buddy Bernier and Nat Simon. Arranged by Bud Caputo. Latin,Pop,Standards. Score and parts. 37 pages. Bud Caputo #773878. Published by Bud Caputo (A0.1173728). This arrangement pays tribute to the most popular jazz version done by Ahmed Jamal’s Piano trio from 1958, Live At The Pershing, But Not For Me Album.  The song has been identified as a development of a Cuban folk song entitled La Canción del Ãrbol whose title translates as the song of the tree, the royal poinciana being a favorite Caribbean flowering plant.[1][2] However composer Nat Simon would claim the song's tune came to him while he was dining at Manhattan Theater District restaurant Leone's, and that he jotted down a rough draft of the melody on his table's cloth which - with Leone's permission - he took home to work out the completed melody at his piano. Lyrics for the song were completed in about thirty minutes by Buddy Bernier, who cited as his inspiration a postcard of a royal Poinciana tree he'd recently received from Florida.

Clarinet,Euphonium,Trombone,Trumpet,Tuba - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1422688 Composed by Frank Pleyer and Johann Hanns Schrammel. Arranged by Willi Schmidt-Petersen (Arranger) Peet du Toit (Orchestrator). March. 14 pages. Peet du Toit #1004039. Published by Peet du Toit (A0.1422688). Johann Schrammel, (22 May 1850 – 17 June 1893), was an Austrian composer and musician.Johann was the illegitimate son of the clarinettist Kaspar Schrammel and his late wife Aloisia Ernst; his younger brother Josef Schrammel was in a similar situation. He also had an older half-brother named Konrad Schrammel (1833–1905), who had a less prestigious livelihood as a barrel organ player as he was forced to retire as an invalid from military service. In his first musical lessons Schrammel got together with his brother, with assistance from his father. With approximately six years, Johann Schrammel could sing in the church choir in his home town Neulerchenfeld. His father had helped him receive violin lessons from Ernst Melzer despite a poor financial position. On 6 January 1861, Johann Schrammel debuted along with his brother and father at a concert at the local inn Zum goldenen Stuck at the Neulerchenfelder Straße. From 1862 to 1863 he and his two brothers studied music at the Vienna Conservatory. In addition to singing lessons, the violin was taken up by Josef Schrammel. In June 1865 Johann Schrammel left the Conservatory, and unsecured sources claim that he was at that time already a member of the orchestra of Danzers Orpheum, Harmonietheater. In 1872 he married Rosalia Weichselbaumer and had 13 children with her; 9 of which survived childhood. In 1878 he founded with his brother Josef Schrammel and Anton Strohmayer a trio; they were later joined by the clarinettist Georg Dänzer to form the famous Schrammel Quartet.Johann Schrammel died at age 43 and was awarded an honorary grave in the Hernalser Cemetery.Info Source: Wikipedia.

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quintet - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.836708 Composed by Brian Joyce. 20th Century,Contemporary. 24 pages. Brian Joyce #3022299. Published by Brian Joyce (A0.836708). Full disclosure: This work is frankly atonal. Rhythms are tricky. Harmonies are unconventional to say the least. And even the form is nicely aberrant.Yet something magical happens when writing for winds: because of the weak timbre contact between the different instruments, one can write complex textures without losing clarity. One can write dissonant harmonies without having them sound harsh and grating. In fact, there are moments of surprising beauty here. Take for instance the color canons, passages combining all instruments in clusters whose harmonic and rhythmic motion is essentially static, but which shimmer with ever-changing timbres. The title translates - inexactly - to Keeper of Heaven, or Starry Watchman, or Celestial Caretaker, and refers to an imaginary character whose task it is to walk about the heavens at sunset and turn on the stars. He is the galactic equivalent of the old gentlemen who once went about Victorian streets, lighting the gas lamps and generally keeping an eye on things, making sure that all is well. I do not claim that this character is God the Father Almighty, only that he is an old gentleman. But there might very well be something wizard-ish about him!Performance time is approximately seven and a half minutes. The audio excerpt included here is of the last two minutes, where the music comes the closest to being tonal.

Woodwind Ensemble,Woodwind Quintet - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.956899 Composed by Charles Gonoud, Edward Elgar, Felix Bartholdy Mendelssohn, Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky, and Richard Wagner. Arranged by Woods Only. Christian,Film/TV,Romantic Period,Wedding,World. 62 pages. Woods Only, Arrangements #6476473. Published by Woods Only, Arrangements (A0.956899). This collection brings the most well-known and appropriate music for wedding ceremonies, arranged for woodwind quintet, where you can find music from beginner to professional levels of performance. They can be performed not only specifically in marriage ceremonies, but also in serenades, concerts, recitals and others. I. Ave Maria, Charles Gonoud/BACH The piece is composed of a melody by French Romantic composer Charles Gounod specially designed to overlap with Prelude No. Although published in instrumental versions and equipped for various texts during Gounod's lifetime, the claim that he never actually wrote it seems to be literally true. The version of Bach's prelude used by Gounod has the addition of a bar found only in the manuscript of Christian Friedrich Gottlieb Schwencke and the printed edition of Nikolaus Simrock which was based on it, but not in the other Bach manuscripts or the printed work of the scholar Bischoff or G. II. Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy, Tchaikovsky The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy is a dance for a ballerina. Tchaikovsky introduced the celesta to Russian music lovers on 19 March 1892 when the Nutcracker Suite was performed for the Russian Musical Society in St. Petersburg. It is heard in other parts of Act 2 of The Nutcracker besides the Sugar Plum Fairy's dance. The Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy is one of the ballet's best known musical numbers. The complete Nutcracker has enjoyed enormous popularity since the late 1960s and is now performed by countless ballet companies, primarily during the Christmas season, especially in North America. Major American ballet companies generate around 40% of their annual ticket revenues from performances of The Nutcracker. III. Salut d'amour, Elgar It was not published by Schott & Co., a German publisher, with offices in Mainz, London, Paris and Brussels, until a year later, and the first editions were for violin and piano, piano solo, cello and piano, and for small orchestra. As a violin-and-piano piece Salut d'Amour had been recorded for The Gramophone & Typewriter Ltd (predecessor to The Gramophone Company) as early as 1901 by Jacques Jacobs, leader/director of the Trocadero Restaurant orchestra. IV. Nuptial March, Wagner It is a bridal march played at the entrance of many Western wedding ceremonies. In English-speaking countries, it is generally known as Here Comes the Bride or Wedding March, but wedding march refers to any piece in march tempo accompanying the entrance or exit of the bride, notably Felix Mendelssohn's Wedding March. Wagner's piece was made popular when it was used as the processional at the wedding of Victoria the Princess Royal to Prince Frederick William of Prussia in 1858. Unlike the current tradition of it being played at the beginning of the ceremony, the work is performed after the wedding of Lohengrin and Elsa in the opera. V. Wedding March, Mendelssohn Felix Mendelssohn's Wedding March in C major, written in 1842, is one of the best known of the pieces from his suite of incidental music. The first known instance of Mendelssohn's Wedding March being used at a wedding was when Dorothy Carew wed Tom Daniel at St Peter's Church, Tiverton, England, on 2 June 1847 when it was performed by organist Samuel Reay. However, it did not become popular at weddings until it was selected by Victoria, The Princess Royal for her marriage to Prince Frederick William of Prussia on 25 January 1858. The bride was the daughter of Queen Victoria, who loved Mendelssohn's music and for whom Mendelssohn often played while on his visits to Britain.

String Trio Cello,Violin - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1491668 By The Killers. By Brandon Flowers, Dave Keuning, Mark Stoermer, and Ronnie Vannucci. Arranged by Homco/Crinion. Rock. 7 pages. Homco/Crinion #1068345. Published by Homco/Crinion (A0.1491668). Smile Like You Mean It is a song by American rock band The Killers. It was co-written by their lead vocalist and their bassist in 2003. They claim that the song was written in just 8 minutes. (?!) Several years ago, this song was the special request of a potential groom who was throwing a surprise birthday party for his girlfriend - with the intent of proposing to her during the party. He had hired our String Trio to provide the background music for the celebration, and specifically wanted to propse to her during the playing of this song. Hesitantly, I agreed to write an arrangement  of this song for String Trio - and much to my surprise and delight, the translation worked out rather well.  ...And she said, Yes!.

Organ - advanced to difficult - Digital Download SKU: S9.Q6220 D'après Julien Gracq. Composed by Jean Guillou. This edition: Sheet music. Downloadable. Op. 26. Duration 17 minutes. Schott Music - Digital #Q6220. Published by Schott Music - Digital (S9.Q6220). Julien Gracq's novel Au château d'Argol° includes a chapter in which one of the heroes, Herminien, discovers a chapel hidden deep within a forest. Soon ... through the branches, twisted in fantastic arabesques, appeared the grey wall of a chapel hanging in the midst of an abyss. He sees an organ there, and, climbing the steps of the loft, he starts to improvise. Then, from the depts of his disquiet, a sound rose up. The author gives a description of this improvisation that, musically, expresses all the psychological tension that has built up in the course of the novel. The musical work bearing the title of this chapter does not claim to respond the letter of the literary description of this improvisation, which would be as impossible as describing Proust's Sonate de Vinteuil, but it is inspired by both - this description and by the novel itself.

This is my original version of a mixture of traditional pieces I heard while traveling in Great Britain in the early 90's , I picked up the bits and pieces from Reels and Jigs I heard , they all sounded like pirate music to me, somehow I came up with this melody combination and decided to give it a name and claim it as a composition. I traveled European festivals and played this song everywhere I go, it got to a point I heard people playing this song on youtube and all sorts of places, this is the power of music, it travels far and wide beyond our expectations.

Stephen R Dalrymple #6252777. Published by Stephen R Dalrymple (A0.818342). The Potter’s Hand ♫ by Darlene Zschech ♫ with Spirit of God Descend Upon My Heart (lyrics by George Croly, melody MORECAMBE by Frederick C Atkinson) ♫ piano solo arrangement by Stephen R Dalrymple♫ With the images of the potter, the clay, and the pottery vessel, Isaiah answers the age-old question “What claim does God have on my life?†Nothing we see, hear, taste, smell, or feel would exist without the Creator. Neither you nor I would or could exist without Him. As a painter, sculptor, composer, designer etc. creates a masterwork for his or her own purposes, so we have a purpose beyond ourselves and our existence. ♫ But the images in Isaiah of the potter go beyond the functionality of the created objects, and the purpose and rights of the artisan. Darlene Zschech brings out the beauty and glory of being the masterwork of a true artist. ♫ A song of commitment and consecration, we need songs like this in our repertoire of worship, to urge us to go beyond the words of worship to the giving of our lives in worship. ♫ If our current worship music wasn’t so disposable, we’d be singing this song for many years to come. ♫ slide presentation by Stephen R Dalrymple ♫ This .pdf file includes 2 files: 1) Letter size piano score 2) Small page piano score for performing from a 10 inch tablet. String Ensemble,String Trio Cello - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.549785 Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Arranged by James M. Guthrie, ASCAP. Classical,Concert,Sacred,Standards,World. Score and parts. 23 pages. Jmsgu3 #3536083. Published by jmsgu3 (A0.549785). Mozart's Romanze from Eine Kleine Nachtmusik, K. 525 for Piano Trio (Violin, Cello and Piano). Duration: ca. 7:00. Score: 11 pages. Violin: 4 pages, Cello: 2 pages, piano: 4 pages. This is one of the most beloved works in all of Mozart's catalog making it a strong choice for a recital, meditation, nightclub, church or wedding reception. Eine kleine Nachtmusik Eine kleine Nachtmusik is also at the same time known as Serenade No. 13. Indeed, we find it listed in the Köchel Catalog as K. 525. With this in mind, Mozart composed the piece by all means in 1787 probably as a commission. To clarify, the title translates as a little night-music. Mozart originally scored the work in particular for an ensemble of two violins, viola, and cello with double bass (optional). In modern times the work is certainly usually performed by string orchestras, though it is often in fact performed by a string quartet – with or without double bass. Publication A point often overlooked is that the name of the work derives from the entry Mozart made in his private journal. He wrote: Eine kleine Nacht-Musik. This explains that Mozart was probably not naming the piece, but only entering a record that he had completed it. Nevertheless, the work was published by and large in 1827. It had been sold to the publisher for the most part in 1799 by Mozart's widow Constanze. Nowadays, it is on balance extensively performed and recorded. Some critics ultimately claim that it is the most popular of all Mozart's works.   Early Years Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756 – 1791), was a productive and significant Austrian classical composer. Mozart displayed unusual musical capability from his earliest childhood. It seems like he was already capable on keyboard and violin at the age of two. He started composing at age five and performed before European royalty. Middle Period At 17, Mozart was working as a musician at the Salzburg Royal court but grew agitated from boredom and traveled to search for a more interesting job. While visiting Vienna in 1781, he was summarily dismissed from his Salzburg job. Nevertheless, he decided to stay in the capital (Vienna), where he achieved much fame but little economic haven. Throughout his concluding years in the Capital, he composed many of his most famous works: symphonies, operas, and concertos. Final Period The conditions surrounding his death have been much the subject of much conjecture and mythology. He composed more than 600 works, many recognized as highpoints of symphonic, chamber, concertante, choral and operatic. He is among the most everlastingly popular of classical composers, and his impact is substantial on succeeding Western art music.  Register for free lifetime updates and revisions of this product at www.jamesguthrie.com
