A Clarinet,Bassoon,Double Bass,Flute,Horn,Oboe,Tuba - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1284281 Composed by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Arranged by Ray Thompson. 20th Century,March,Romantic Period. 38 pages. RayThompsonMusic #875459. Published by RayThompsonMusic (A0.1284281). Arranged double wind quintet/bass.This is my arrangement of the complete work - it includes the trio.Check out my shorter version here. The Festival Coronation March in D major, TH 50, ČW 47, is an orchestral work by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky ordered by the city of Moscow for the coronation of Tsar Alexander III in 1883.It was written during March 1883 and performed for the first time on June 4[O.S. May 23], 1883 in Sokolniki Park (Moscow), conducted by Sergei Taneyev. The music included excerpts of the anthem God Save the Tsar.Recordings of this piece generally run between 5 and 5½ minutes.Arranged wind dectet/bass (double wind quintet/bass/tuba)My arrangement is in the same key as the original (D major)Clarinet parts are CLARINET IN ARather than simply copying the woodwind parts, I have moved some of the music down one octave. Thus avoiding the shrill sound of high woodwind in a smaller ensemble. For info: During the Soviet Era, Russian performances and recordings of the music were revised to omit the excerpts from the Czarist national anthem, replacing it with thematic material used earlier in the march. Other works that quoted or otherwise used the anthem, such as Tchaikovsky's Marche Slave and 1812 Overture, were also revised, due to an official Soviet ban on the anthem.Starting with Dmitri Medvedev’s inauguration in 2008, an abbreviated version of this piece is played during the Russian presidential inauguration accompanying the entrance of the incoming president. That version (Similar to my arrangement) lasts less than two minutes, and so ends well before the playing  of  God Save the Tsar.Check out my arrangement of Tchaikovsky's Military March,TH150 arranged for similar instrumentation.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.596577 Composed by Juan María Solare. 20th Century,Instructional,Jazz,World. Score. 7 pages. Juan Maria Solare #4845611. Published by Juan Maria Solare (A0.596577). Trayectoria is the Spanish word for trajectory in the double sense of the flight path of a projectile or planet, or a person's life achievements. This 4-minute piece is a contemporary milonga (a musical genre strongly related to the tango). However, it has a harmonic peculiarity: the whole piece is based on a single chord (F sharp minor) from the beginning to the end. When the harmonic components are frozen, the melodic and rhythmical ones come easier to foreground. Connoisseurs will recognize some allusions to Sergei Prokofiev, Thelonious Monk, Alexander Scriabin & Co.  Some advice for the performance: pay particular attention to the articulation. Generally speaking, articulation is disregarded as a secondary parameter, however it is as important as a correct diction and a clear pronunciation in theater or in movies. And particularly in Trayectoria ... some pieces can easily survive with an approximate articulation. This one wouldn't. Juan María Solare  Trayectoria (Trajectory)contemporary milonga by Juan María Solare, performed by the composer (piano) at the church Vor Frue Kirke in Svendborg, Denmark, on 23 October 2015: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2VBYd5NE6U(more music on Spotify: https://play.spotify.com/artist/0sr00YxbHKRAruzYrJ6PEg )

Choral Choir,Choral,SATB Chorus - Level 1 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1465850 Composed by James F. Linzey and William H. Monk. 21st Century,Chamber,Christian,Classical,Religious. 4 pages. Military Bible Association #1044448. Published by Military Bible Association (A0.1465850). The History of the Four Immortal Chaplains and the United States Army HymnDuring World War II, four Army chaplains met at the Army Chaplains School at Harvard University. ?ere, they received training for their assignments in the European theater. They then boarded and sailed on the United States Army Transport (USAT) Dorchester to report to their new assignments. The USAT Dorchester left New York on January 23, 1943, en route to Greenland. She carried about 900 military personnel and was escorted by Coast Guard Cutters Tampa, Escanaba, and Comanche. During the early morning hours of February 3, 1943, the vessel was torpedoed by the German submarine U-223 off Newfoundland in the North Atlantic. As the Dorchester sank on that fateful day of February 3, 1943, the four Army chaplains on board helped their soldiers board lifeboats as they handed out life jackets. When they ran out of life jackets, the chaplains gave their own life jackets to four soldiers that they might live. Then the chaplains joined arms and prayed as they went down with the Dorchester. These were young chaplains, new to the Army, holding the rank of first lieutenant. They included Methodist minister Reverend George L. Fox, Reform Rabbi Alexander D. Goode, Catholic priest Father John P. Washington, and Reformed Church in America minister Reverend Clark V. Poling. ?e four chaplains were posthumously awarded the Distinguished Service Cross and the Purple Heart. Chaplain (MAJ) James F. Linzey, USA (Ret.), who was one of four military chaplains in his family, composed the United States Army Hymn, “Eternal Father, Hear Our Prayer,” in remembrance of the “Four Immortal Chaplains” on board the Dorchester. Also, James Linzey is the General Editor of the New Tyndale Version (NTV) Bible translation.
