Published by Peet du Toit (A0.802535). The origin of this song is unknown, but it was first recorded by the Paramount Jubilee Singers. It has spiritual roots, predominantly in Black America. It also turned out as a popular jazz standard. Edrich Siebert did a military-like arrangement for a full brass band. It inspired me to transcribe it for a smaller wind ensemble, replacing mainly the horn section with saxophones, and included a clarinet. Enjoy!
