One is the interruption of expectation in regards to the perception of time and timelessness, where the listener is expecting something to happen, and when it appears like something is about to change, it is only a tease and it goes back to a static state. Another is my interest in utilizing tonality and dissonance as equal in the palette of sound options. Another interest is showcasing the virtuosity of the performers with interesting and challenging solos, that not only require individual dexterity, but also a tightness among the performers.
