String Orchestra - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1408288 Composed by Ashlyn Graham. 21st Century,Chamber,Classical,Contemporary,Instructional. 17 pages. Ashlyn Graham #990872. Published by Ashlyn Graham (A0.1408288). This is a shortened version of my original piece Cordolium. The original description is as follows: Cordolium, meaning heartfelt grief; sorrow of the heart, heartache. I wrote this piece with one of my favorite pieces in mind: Barber's Adagio for Strings. I wanted to challenge myself to convey emotion like Barber did, and to write a piece with a lot of emotional potential. Cordolium travels through the stages of grief, allowing the musicans to express denial, agitation, and depression, before it concludes with a dejected acceptance of all the sorrow that came before. I realized the original is too long especially for advanced HS groups so I decided to create this cut version to accomodate. This shortened version forced me to cut some transitions and some beautiful sections out, but it still contains the main motifs and allows all the expression in a shorter time. It also includes more bowing and a few more dynamics to help give student groups more directions. The original work can be found here: Cordolium

Organ - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.909270 Composed by Vidas Pinkevicius. Christian,Contemporary,Sacred. Score. 8 pages. Vidas Pinkevicius #3540609. Published by Vidas Pinkevicius (A0.909270). In the fall of 2013 my friend and colleague, Paulius Grigonis who is the organist at St Joseph church here in Vilnius was preparing to play a recital at Vilnius Cathedral around Christmas time. He approached me asking for advice about the pieces he could be playing.I offered him to compose a set of 6 variations on the famous Christmas tune Adeste fideles and he agreed too much hesitation (too bad).I started working on the composition but got stuck at the end of the 5th variation. I used major and minor chords only. My goal was to create something colorful and modern and yet understandable to the listener.Because of these simple chords the harmonies are very clear and transparent. What makes it sound modern though is that I avoid traditional chordal progressions of the perfect fourth and perfect fifth. This would imply tonic-dominant, dominant-tonic, tonic-subdominant, subdominant-tonic relationship. But I didn't want this. I wanted to surprise my audience and my friend Paulius. So I chose all kinds of progressions - minor and major seconds, minor and major thirds, even a tritone to keep it fresh. However, the result was too difficult to play for Paulius on a short notice and I got side-tracked with other projects. Although the idea of completing the variations never left me.So last weekend I sat down and added the last variation with a CODA.I hope you'll enjoy this piece which is dedicated to Paulius.8 pages, PDF score. Advanced level.

Piano Solo - Level 3 - Digital Download SKU: A0.1149634 By Black Eyed Peas With Daddy Yankee. By Allan Pineda, Antonio Nunzio Catania, Jaime Gomez, John Paul Larkin, Ramon Ayala, William Adams, and Yonatan Goldstein. Arranged by Steve Burks. Latin,Pop. Score. 4 pages. Steven L. Burks #749785. Published by Steven L. Burks (A0.1149634). This solo piano version of Bailar Contigo by Black Eyed Peas and Daddy Yankee falls into the intermediate range of difficulty. The voice leading is moderate. The main challenge is the 4-against-3 rhythmic subdivision required between the hands in some sections. If maintaining the merengue groove with the left hand proves too challenging, the structures in the left hand can be played on down beats in quarter notes, and the character of the song can be left to the melody in the right hand. This arrangement adheres to the form of the recording up to time marker 2:34. I am a member of ASCAP. You may contact me at steve@steveburksmusic.com. Thanks.

Woodwind choir - Digital Download SKU: IZ.CMF182 Composed by Giacomo Puccini. Arranged by Judith Katz. Score and Parts. 29 pages. Imagine Music - Digital #CMF182. Published by Imagine Music - Digital (IZ.CMF182). 9 x 12 in inches. In the vast body of work that Giacomo Puccini left the world, are his full -length operas, as well as three one-act operas, known also as Il Trittico. Suor Angelica is one of these one-act operas, having its premier at the Metropolitan Opera on December 14th, 1918.Puccini was a master composer, and builder of the dramatic melody. It was because of this, that his operas, and arias from his operas are still some of the most requested compositions of all time. In addition, the intermezzi to some of his operas, not only were used in the performances of these works, but were popular enough to be programmed separately into orchestral concerts.Puccini orchestrated this, mainly with strings in mind; very light use of woodwinds and brass, and no percussion. My selection of woodwind choir in this arrangement, had its own challenges for me. What sounds perfect for strings, doesn't necessarily sound perfect for woodwinds. How close to Puccini's score was I going to go? Puccini definitely wrote for the voice in mind, and that was my ultimate goal.

Violin and piano - Advanced - Digital Download SKU: ZY.DO-1525 Composed by David Braid. Score and part. 32 pages. Les Editions Doberman-Yppan (digital) #DO 1525. Published by Les Editions Doberman-Yppan (digital) (ZY.DO-1525). Life - Still Life, Op. 165 (violin & piano) - David BraidI am keen on concise musical forms such as Prelude and Fugue, where there is one clear straightforward idea, followed by another that is more involved & developed. In keeping with that idea, this work consists of two distinct pieces, the first - Transfigured Life - aims to draw in the listener with its quick, dancing rhythm and simple, melodic violin part. It 'transfigures' via a few short solo piano interludes into just two alternating notes to end - which are the core of the original idea, now made clear by clearing everything else out of the way.The second piece - Still Life - retains its sense of stillness through an uncomplicated piano line that gives lots of space for the violin's contrasting (but again simple) part. As an absolute, not programmatic, piece the title refers to the atmospheric colour and pacing only; it's up to the listener to see 'Still life' of their choosing in their own mind.A note on performance: Despite my reference to 'simple' lines, and the work's determined avoidance of mainstream modernist squeak - the work has certain performance challenges of phrasing and ensemble that requires considerable skill and musicianship. The work has had the privilege of being recently recorded by violinist Ezgi Sarıkcıoğlu and pianist Rossitza Stoycheva, and is available on all major platforms:https://open.spotify.com/album/6p5YIe17ci0UMuo2RqZgjRhttps://music.apple.com/gb/album/transfigured-life-still-life-world-premiere-recording/1738035953.

Bass Guitar,Drums,Piano,Voice - Digital Download SKU: A0.1072351 Composed by George Wells. Christian,Gospel,Praise & Worship. Accompaniment. Duration 235. F T H Music #552481. Published by F T H Music (A0.1072351). In 2009, my wife was sitting in the doctors office waiting to hear the results of my scan. It was a nice September day, the sun was shinning. The doctor came in shared those awful three words with us: You have cancer My mind went back about 25 years ago to a song I had written entitled: The higher the Mountain the better the view. The lines kept running through my mind. And my view was getting better all the time as by 2014 I had two cancers plus a return of the first cancer. Because of my troubles and the fact that God had lead me through the Valley of Cancer, I asked my friend, Randy Duck to record the song. We used the famous quartet, The Singing Ambassadors to do the back up vocals. Realizing that everyone has a mountain, it is our prayer that encouragement and hope be found in this message.
