WaltzApp is a simple, innocent and uncomplicated waltz that can remind to Erik Satie. The title reflects the modern times...
The composition of WaltzApp began in Bremerhaven in 2006 (first theme) and was completed ten years alter in Bremen (both cities are in North Germany). Duration: ~ 2'30
Trivia: during those ten years between the composition of the first and the second theme, the working title was Valsecillo (and with that title circulated in internet as PDF for a while).
Original version: for piano solo. There are also versions for the following chamber music combinations (all tested by the composer at concert!):
- for alto saxophone and piano (plus double bass ad libitum)
- for clarinet and piano (plus double bass ad libitum)
- for violin and piano (plus double bass ad libitum)
- for clarinet, accordion, cello and piano
- for flute and piano (plus double bass ad libitum)
- for instrumental nonet (flute, clarinet, trombone, accordion, violin, viola, cello, double bass and piano)
The piano version of WaltzApp is included in the album Sombras blancas [White Shadows], by Juan MarÃa Solare (piano): https://open.spotify.com/track/5egCqXp6jR3tBQw8ndFAZ2
