Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 2 - Digital Download SKU: A0.882296 Composed by Samuel A. Ward and Katherine Lee Bates. Arranged by Vince Peterson. Contemporary,Folk,Graduation,Spiritual. Octavo. 9 pages. Personage Press, LLC #5205071. Published by Personage Press, LLC (A0.882296). Thank you for your interest in this title! You can purchase individual copies for a lower price at PersonagePress.com.This unforgettable arrangement of the patriotic song America the Beautiful utilizes a solo cellist who represents a needle and thread sewing a quilt, stitching the rows through the song itself. In the second verse, the choir abandons the melody altogether (yet unnoticeably) to vocally depict alabaster cities gleam[ing]. It is a short yet deeply impactful arrangement that lends true artistry and heart to the act of musical patriotism. The arranger has modeled the cello part after a Bach cello suite, making it accessible to any seasoned cellist.
