The textures of the single version are derivative of '90s house music, and the vocal textures and voicings are uniquely Beyoncé, while gospel-tinged in places. That said, the story of the song could not be more contemporary to the 2020s, referencing social division, the exploitation of gig workers and, of course, race.  Its empowering, defiant yet joyous lyric makes the song perfect for any concert closer.
