This unforgettable Peanuts tune from 'A Charlie Brown Christmas' was composed by Vince Guaraldi in 1965. What is remarkable is that the melody is only three notes, (yet is so catchy), so when I was looking for three note melodies to arrange for my beginning band students, this was a standout. By their first Christmas concert they were able to play it! The piano part is necessarily more challenging, but like choral music, the piano parts often are. So, call this flex music or mixed abilty music, either way this is a real crowd pleaser!  Bands at any higher level can practically sight read this, so a quick rehearsal or two can add a fun experience for players and audience alike!
