I wanted a more accessible version to play since most people do not play a string instrument, but wanted to still capture the beauty of the small ensemble. The score is set up with the same rehearsal markings as the string quartet and plays very similar, but some changes to both dynamics and range had to be changed due to the different medium.

Piazzolla and his quintet, but surely also because of the beauty and depth of its music.Alfredo Gobbi was a great forgiven in tango history. His work as composer, conductor, arranger and violinist was admired by great tango musicians. As Piazzola said Alfredo was the father of all of us, those of us who make modern tango.
