Obs.: This famous Panis Angelicus is the fifth of six movements in Franck's Messe à trois voix, FWV 61. César Franck composed this Mass in the summer of 1860. In this first version, written for STB choir and orchestral accompaniment, the fifth movement was an O Salutaris. It is only in 1872 that César Franck composed the Panis Angelicus and included it in his Messe à trois voix, as a replacement to the O Salutaris.
Franck's Panis Angelicus was originally composed for tenor voice with harp, cello and organ accompaniment. The original key was A Major.
This score is an arrangement for violin and piano or organ (manuals only). It is set in the key of G Major.
