Euphonium,Piano - Level 5 - Digital Download SKU: A0.792287 Composed by Granados, Enrique. Arranged by Sauer, Ralph. 20th Century,Folk,Romantic Period,World. Score and part. 10 pages. Gordon Cherry #4803899. Published by Gordon Cherry (A0.792287). Granados was a Spanish composer whose music had the unique style of his homeland burned into his soul. He was also a very talented painter in the style of Goya. The Two Dances, 1. Oriental and 2. Fandango are taken from the 12 danzas españolas, volume I from 1890, for Piano.Mr. Sauer has brilliantly taken the solo Piano part and divided it between solo Euphnium and Piano. Euphonium performers will enjoy working on this style of Spanish Nationalist music of which there is none in the solo repertoire. The Two Dances (in tenor clef) are about 6 1/2 minutes in length and can be performed by advanced musicians.

Small Ensemble Bassoon,Clarinet,Flute,Horn,Oboe - Level 4 - Digital Download SKU: A0.818164 Composed by Manuel de Falla. Arranged by Philip Le Bas. 20th Century. Score and parts. 38 pages. Philip Le Bas #3590197. Published by Philip Le Bas (A0.818164). De Falla's orchestral Spanish Dance no.1 is here arranged by Philip Le Bas for a wind sextet (flute, oboe, clarinet, bass clarinet, horn and bassoon). Originally forming part of de Falla's opera La Vida Breve (Life is short), it is fully of colour and excitement from the opening four bars, through the archetypically Spanish rhythms and tunes of the main dance, climaxing in the central fortissimo section which is stamped out by the invisible singers, and returning with even more colour to the original theme.

FINALIST.  Variation 3 Arrebato.  CONTEMPORARY CATEGORY.  XXI COMPETITION FOR PIANO COMPOSITION FIDELIO.  â€‹Madrid, SpainEach variation represents a scene:Tema / Theme Var. 1 La Tarara y los niñosVar. 2 MonólogoVar. 3 ArrebatoVar. 4 SoledadVar. 5 La Tarara bailaLa Tarara is a song that for generations Spanish children sung in circles. Some specialists point out that its origin would be Sephardic, although the first known versions date back to the 19th century. Collected by Spanish poet Federico García-Lorca in 1931, still today it can be heard sung as part of the folk tradition of Spain. The song tells us about a woman (Tarara) who walks through the fields dancing, with add clothing and somewhat strange behavior, most likely crazy. Children would follow her and laugh loudly while playing and dancing. This piano piece presents the theme accompanied by a simple harmonization, followed by 5 variations, each of which uses the theme as material. The first variation (Tarara and the children) watches the scene from outside, while variations 2 to 5 describe the character of La Tarara from inside her own point of view.
