In Ukrainian this song is known as Мі��ць на небі (Misyatsʹ na nebi). Organists of all countries who are at a loss for words but cannot keep silent will find their voice in this piece. The song melody is presented in the right hand part on a solo registration and accompanied by flowing motion of sixteenth notes in the left hand part and pedal point in the pedals. Prelude on Adoro Te Devote is a work for organ based on the famous Eucharistic hymn written by Thomas Aquinas, suitable for a prelude at any Catholic Mass throughout the year or for use at Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament or Benediction. It is, in fact, Adoration set to music, which is evident by its meditative quality. The piece would work well on most organs; registration can be done simply or more enhanced when circumstances allow. Most organists and parishes would be appreciative of this work, which beautifully sets the tone for worship.

Scored for SATB, solo violin and organ, the text is taken from the hymns Come Down, O Love Divine by Bianca da Siena, (d. 1434) and Charles Wesley (1707-88). It is especially suitable for Pentecost Sunday but could be used as a general anthem at other times. This is probably Bach's least-known of the great preludes and fugues - often ignored by organists.  It's a great piece for double brass quintet, with lots and lots of thematic trade-offs.  It's a great chance to show off the internal integrity of the group - and a lot of fun to put together.  It's transposed to F for the brass.
